RE: TVR - 'never say never'
Discussion
Could it be this Les Edgar (maybe same as Bullfrog - further links now suggest is the same chap) linked in this article: http://www.kidston.com/kidston-cars/98/

err... no it won't look at caterham/morgan/ginetta etc.
And I believe they already can't sell cars in America (could be wrong)http://www.tgdaily.com/business-and-law-features/3...
and very soon they won't be able to sell cars in the EU either... At least not without adding the computer systems.
The problem is, just how crap is another TVR going to be in 2013. In 2004, a decent TVR, say a Sag, was boarderline rubbish (except for having a bit of poke obviously), just to repeat that in 2013 will be a complete joke. Have a look what you can buy for £100k. Yup, there is a lot of choice already availible, and hence volumes will be low, and that pushes the price up even further. Can't see it flying myself........
It's good to hear it could be British again, also to create jobs which isn't a bad thing . I just hope it's a credible idea and not turn out a farce like what the russkie did . That made a mockery of tvr, diesel s Trevor would turn in his grave . But good luck to the new owner , we will be watching with intrest

And yet examples of the Sagaris now sell second-hand for more than they were new 8 years ago. Not bad for a "boarderline rubbish" (sic) car. Max_Torque said:

I see a great big gap in the market where the Chims & Griffs & Nobles used to occupy, & near where the new V6 Exige sits now. The Ginettas could have filled the void, but are still a long way off. A copy of Autocar is full of Astons/Jags/Porsches at approaching £100k, & nothing really that exciting below.
Lotus have proven that exciting new performance cars can be produced at around £50k. With careful production ( use the old formula & bought in engines ), i dont see why TVR couldnt do the same

They don't even need to use bought-in engines; the Speed6 is a truly awesome engine now that all the things that initially made it unreliable are now fully understood and sorted. C1RVY said:
