Infinity tyres - anyone have any experience of them?

I'm looking at buying a car that is shod with Infinity tyres (Alfa Spider). Don't recall the exact type but as it is something with reasonably warm performance I was a bit surprised to see that the previous owner had gone for bargain basement tyres.

Doing a quick google comments range from great value for money to ditchfinders.

Before deciding whether to make this a negotiation issue with the dealer I thought I'd seek views and opinions from the PH forums.
