What Comfy Wafty Ragtop? 1-2.5k

What it says on the tin really.
I've had a Mk1 MX5 and it was great, but I fancy something a bit bigger and comfierer and modernererer. 4 seats would be nice but not essential. Bear in mind I've had both the aforementioned MX5 and a mk2 Clio so I don't give a st about hairdresser jibes. Doesn't need to be sporty or even a manual. 1-2.5k budget, cheaper the better. High-30s MPG would be welcome.
