That looks bloody great.
Those allys look totally naff to my eyes, they remind me of a mid 70's Datsun steel wheel trim or this year's JLR RR.

Skoda octavia - as a driver of the new one (elegance estate 2lTDI) empties its ballast tanks all over a FixOrRepairDaily focus. Everyone who has seen or been in my car is blown away by its comfort style and company car tax. Take your focus away you only bought or selected it because your a fanboy end of !
Funny, that sounds exactly like something a blinded fanboy would say.

Add metallic paint and a couple of options and the diesel estate is 7000 pounds more than I paid for my mk2 in March new, sure it has a bit more standard spec but even after a discount on the new one you are still looking at another 5000 plus.

Its nicer but not that much nicer.

That looks bloody great.

I'd definitely have one of those in a year or so, petrol only for me though.
That almost looks like an Audi B5 Avant

I had the pleasure of driving around in 2x MK2 Octavia's, a 1.6 Classic Hatch and a TDI Elegance DSG estate, and if the MK3 is even better than the MK2 then I bet it's a cracking car.

Really nice cars to drive. Their list prices do seem to have risen , We bought a Fabia MK2 '3' Tiptronic for nearly 14k. However the specification is where the value is, Cruise control would have been £260 on the equivalent Audi A3 where it was standard on the Octavia Elegance, as were lots of other things Audi put on the "options list" that the Octavia had as standard.

Some may say the Audi and VW models will be better made or be better quality than the Skoda's, but they all seemed great to me, and certainly not worth paying the extra for the equivalent Audi/VW IMHO

Great looking car. The estate looks very Audi like side on.
No it doesn't, to look like an Audi it would need an 'orrible, ill-proportioned, lardy front overhang hehe
Front overhang you say? Not really very different is it?

Note to self: If see one of these in rear view mirror, it's probably the Police.

Tons of undercover cops use the old Octavia vRS here.

I've always liked them and the new one looks pretty damn good. Some may find it boring but it's just right to me. I'd rather have the Golf, but I think I would still buy one of these new instead

Here's the interior.

Bloody fantastic. Anyone who buys a Golf or A3 is a total fruitcake. Skoda nails it AGAIN.

Plenty of people who still 'wouldnt be seen dead in a Skoda' - blows my mind to be honest.

Those people don't respect the fact that Skoda is the worlds 4th oldest car marque, made some of the most luxurious cars money could buy before the war, like the original Superb (and the Tudor Coupe) were Rolls Royce like cars.

Incredible rally/motorsport history as well. Ironically the fact they ended up with cars like Lada and Yugo back in the day was because of Ze Germans invading
