Maybe, but sounds awfully like a V8 to me!
C4 RS6 Plus. 4.2 V8.

Please correct me if I am being stupid here, but the 405 sounds like it has anti-lag or something similar, when taking foot off throttle, but I don't recall this system being fitted/invented when running originally?

I don't mean on the up change, but purely on over-run when entering a bend for example.

It might be an early form of anti lag but I think it is just unburnt fuel, my t16 cossied 205 does the same on overrun after some big boost....might be just to cool the engine?

I know it's extremely rare and practically ancient nowadays but does the T16, or any of them ever get a good run out as opposed to low speed demos?

Didn't really go very fast at GFoS.

I'll jump on the bandwagon. I thought it was an RS2 too. I was listening for a 5 pot noise but didnt quite get it though, bit difficult with the 405 around.

On another note i found myself in a bit of a bad mood this morning for some reason this video has cheered me right up. Thanks PH! Nothing like some incredible cars driving up some beautiful scenery to make you think ahhh, thats nice.

Edit: thats is until i saw that camera car post above, oops.

Saw a 205 T16 competing in the Trento-Bondone hillclimb in northern Italy back in 2007, some youtube footage here;

A very boring video given how fun it could have been; a slow moving camera car and the 405 straining at the leash. Just watch climbdance if you want to see it going full tilt!

I assume this is just "filming of" video footage? Clearly the actual footage shot will make it into an advert or short publicity film at some point (no doubt in HD etc)

Doubtless to be turned into a some legacy-and-history feelgood ad which blasts you with irrelevance before subliminally instructing you to go forth and purchase the latest Diesel drivel at your local Peugeot outlet.

"Peugeot - Race Technology for the Road" etc etc etc....

The video was that interesting people were more concerned what the camera car was.

Sorry but if you're rolling out the 405 T16 Pikes Peak car that st needs to be going sideways, with the 208 actually dueling it, not following at walking pace, wouldn't be so bad if the article writer hadn't bigged it up as something awesome when it was pretty disappointing, it was like watching two mobility scooters going around a couple of bends with some really nice noise.

Am i the only one that was literally screaming at the monitor "Give it he beans then!" throughout?

Awesome video all the same smile

Also. Is it me or is the 208 almost the same size as the 405?
