Maybe Bentley are following Porsche's lead with the Cayenne and Panamera.

Make the first gen pig ugly and loads of people will buy it because it's the new model from a 'must have' brand.

Make the second gen a lot nicer looking so owners of the 1st gen have to pay to upgrade.

Gaudy, vulgar, ugly. It will probably sell very well.

The only thing stopping it from getting a big fat 0 is the economic arguement for its existance (jobs and the fact it will be a big profit maker for them).

However my petrol head hat means it does not get more than 2.

Excellent news for jobs, I wonder how much it will cost, 150k?

Sure is!

I read somewhere that the base model will be £160k rising to £210k with options, not sure how accurate that is......

I think that's also been confirmed (Cayenne chassis), similarities will stop there though...

Me too. Thought I was the only one.
Wandered around it at Goodwood last year and thought it looked pretty good in the flesh.
Fortunately I'll never have the wherewithal to have to put up with people pointing at me in the street and laughing!

A new standard in ugly SUVs has been set.

ETA: I like the way the photo shows that it is driving off road, even though there is a road right next to the dirt track it is driving on. Nicely illustrates its off road credentials.
That isn't off-road, that is just off-tarmac - a big difference! I'd like to see a top-gear style race (like Range Rover versus robotruck) with these two...

So who is clever enough to earn the massive amount of money required for one of these, but then stupid enough to spend that money on one of these?
Chinese.

90% of the sales of Mulsanne's etc go to China. Bentley even launched the new Mulsanne in China and flew press over there.
