What puzzles me is how people just swallow anything that is dished up, because it is 'connected' to Senna.

After watching the equally tedious 'making of' video, thinking maybe I'd missed something in the original film, I am still left cold and like I'd seen a poor 6th form project.
I think the problem here is not that Honda are lacking the imagination to attempt such a project, but that you lack the imagination to truly comprehend it, having not seen it in its proper setting.

Earlier you said "Art is subjective, but this ain't art" - which makes you both right and wrong. Yes, art IS subjective. And there's no doubt that what happened at Suzuka that night was art. Whether the video captures the result of that art in a meaningful way? Well, you plainly say no, others say yes.

Goosebumps here...lovely concept, would have liked to see the full lap too, but that was definitely worth watching.

Christ - that looks "raw" and really brutal compared to modern on board stuff. Check out the braking at the chicane just near the end. Fantastic stuff.

No goosebumps, no emotional triggers and no bringing the ghost of Senna for me.

I spent the entire film waiting for it to start then noticed it was nearly over and thought it was a hugely expensive waste of marketing budget.

Sorry guys and gals; I do emotional, just not this time.
