Does no one in the UK make multi-piece wheels any more - looked at Rimstock, Compomotive etc.?

Secondly, am I correct in thinking that (ignoring any effect on the speedo), increasing the rolling circumference of a wheel / tyre combo will have the effect of reducing the engine rpm for the same road speed compared to a wheel / tyre combo with a smaller rolling circumference? - i.e. the effect is to raise the overall gearing?

Yes to the 2nd part.

Have a look at Rimstyle for current manufacturers of split-rims, they're not the cheapest but they have a decent selection.

Or you could try IMAGE wheels.

BBS also make some rather tasty split rims or you could consider Force wheels who can potentially make nearly any one piece wheel into a split rim with a lip of your choice!

Thanks for the suggestions - hadn't seen the Rimstyle site before.

As for Image......had an experience a couple of years ago which I wouldn't want to repeat. Fortunately I got my £1,700 back. Never again.
