A bloke at my 4x4 club brought a quadrocopter and Go-Pro along to our last trip. Unbelievably cool technology. Amazing to think that we now have that as an affordable option to the individual!
Anyone know how hard they are to fly? Fantastic piece of tech'.

The biggest risk we saw Chris take was being sat on a toolbox in that McLaren F1 being driven at speed on the road, still makes me shudder that.
Where is the video of Chris Harris and McLaren F1 ?
I've seen it around but it was in phenomenally low quality like it'd been re-encoded, and obviously I shan't post it here because of aforementioned dodginess.

Bloody amazing video but the driver was an idiot to succumb to temptation like he did on video! It was a whole other world of ridiculousness.

Depends which one you pick, most are easy providing there isn't too much wind (which is the real enemy to this type of flight) - having 4 props and a gyro to help stabilise it means a lot of the work is done for you by the onboard computer.

Fantastic video, very lucky Monkey - how long before the 512 gets traded...!

The F40 IS the best car but the noise the F50 makes cloud9

Wow. I remember my dad getting me a book about the F40 from the library when I was about 8 years old. Saw one for real for the first time at the Chomondeley Pageant of Power this year. Blew me away, aged 33. The video was fantastic, but also makes me sad i'll never get to even passenger in one. I'm sure most of us feel the same!

Don't despair my friend. I went to the classic car show at the NEC in October 2004 (wow, 9 years already) and paid to be a passenger in an F40. The ride was approximately 20 minutes long.

It was fantastic and the proceeds went to a childrens charity. £75 back then and worht every penny.

Chris Harris you are 2 things!

1. A big kid (love it)
2. The luckiest man alive (not jealous much)

As for the owner of these cars all I can say is fair play!

I know its nothing like your 2 Fezzers but like my little 205 GTI cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed.

Such a awesome sight to see both these monsters being properly abused and driven hard and fast....only way in my book.

Kudos to Chris and the Owner.....soooooo much respect!

Crikey I enjoyed that. I think I had that tape Chris refers to too.

Remember listening to it on a walkman in bed! If it's the same tape they compare the fabric on the f40 dashboard to a postman's trousers!

Saw Schumacher's old one being returned to Strattons in Wilmslow.

I know this because I hear the salesman telling the shellshocked driver as he got out after a test drive. Can't remember his exact words but I was very jealous. This would have been around 93/94 I reckon.

I remember it had the sliding side windows so I've always believed he wasn't fibbing.

Wheel spins in 3rd gear ? Yes it does
Sounds better in real time ? Yes it does
The F40 does everything Chris Harris says it does and more.
My money is on the F40 wink
Maybe F50 one day.

This particular video will be watched in thousands of years time by people who will simply sit with a knowing grin on their faces....even my dear mother can now describe the appearance of an F40.....
Try this, it isn't to everyone's taste but to see a couple of lads enjoying the car gets my vote.

F50 is a bit of a boneshaker, but sounds so much better than the F40.
