Nice, understated, epic vehicle - driven by some past-his-prime with a blue badge. Much respect!

That passed me on Thursday night at the bottom of the M6 toll as I continued on the M42 northbound.

Not entirely sure it belongs here, but I saw

RAC 15M today (correctly spaced), ironically on a white van.

Was this an original issue or a DVLA sale? If the latter, I'm not convinced it was a brilliant idea.
For me it belongs here. 1972 issue I think. Takes a bit of bottle to drive round with I'd say.
That wouldn't have been released recently by the DVLA, Whilst the term itself is not offensive they like to avoid controversial plates. Ones that slip through the net can be pulled and it's not beyond the realms of possibility that if they thought there was any danger of that plate being thought of as promoting or glorifying racism then it may get pulled. In fact, I'd say that they will withdraw that number if it comes to their attention.

My father owned HGD 6 on an old ambulance he converted to a sales van back in the early 60's. It was never retained, and the vehicle was eventually cut up and taken for scrap.
Oh, if only we had any idea then of the values cherished numbers would become.

If we had, we could all have ended up driving Bentleys. A Grey one in this case. irked

A neat number from the days when Brighton was a pleasant town to visit and a pleasure to drive through.

How on earth will the owner of the £100k plate and the convertible Bentley be able to pick himself up and move on with his life now that the PH judgement has gone against him? Aren't we all glad here that we are not him? wink

I like the plate and have nothing against the owner however it is illegally spaced, doesn't matter if it's worth £10 or £10 million.
