Jesus-titty-fking-Christ! rolleyes

So sorry that my lame attempt at humour fell so wide of the mark. I shan't bother explaining it, as a joke is never that funny if it needs an explanation. Has it really come to this? That EVERY sarcastic or humourous comment MUST be followed immediately by some kind of explanatory smilie lest it face the wrath of the thread police?

Fcensoredk it...

The price was crazy. I was hoping the bidding would stop at half that figure but I'd missed out on a couple of other 918 plates at previous auctions and was determined on this one because I wasn't sure I'd ever find a better one.

The car is very prone to picking up pebbles for some reason (aero?) but a visit to my detailer after the FOS soon fixed that. smile
That is some garage you have there, wow!!

Also saw OL1 on a black Nissan GTR in Sutton Coldfield
Inherited from his Granny I believe.
That makes sense I tried to see if I could find a sold at auction price but nothing came up. That must be worth a hell of a lot now.

There's been very very few " ** 1" plates ever offerd at any DVLA auctions, most have been " 1 ** " So yes an old original number.

He's a pal of my son, lives near 'Gods Roundabout'. It's also his first name, he does a bit of racing. Add an L at the front and you have my own plate, which I also have the same plate in reverse order. You might have seen it about.

I wondered whether that was his first name even better that it is. I spotted it whilst driving through Roman road. I haven't spotted your plate I'll keep an eye out its nice you have both combinations as well

On singlesingle the registration G1 is shown on a Rolls Royce.

According to https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ it belongs to a 1.4 VW, 1999 which was sorned a couple of years back?

Anyone any more info - as a Glaswegian I know these originated in Glasgow and was sure it belonged to a local nightclub owner?

That's very close! Keep looking & say Hi! I'm not driving the car at the mo, but it's visible. I've been driving my classic as it had a new engine & needs running in. 200 miles to go.

PS - HERO Classic Rally comes to Curborough next Thursday if you're about.
