Magenta Sierra RS Cosworth Stolen, G439XNO, London
Discussion
Hi am posting this up for a friend the car is not mine.
His Magenta Sierra Cosworth was stolen in the early hours of this morning from his driveway. Reg no: G439XNO. He's only had it a week and is obviously gutted.
Please contact George (the owner) on 07939988805, message myself or respond in this thread if you have any info. Anything at all is appreciated. I will update the thread with pictures shortly.
Also check out the following thread on passionford for a bit more detail on the car if required.
Thanks Guys

sometimes i really wonder why do some people steal rare/unique cars? If you are going to use it for illegal activities then you pick something silver and common. Anyone with a passion for the car will probably be browsing that forum and wouldn't go anywhere near it if they saw it listed.

It won't ever reappear for sale as a whole car - it's a classic RS Cosworth so essentially if it's one that's still in very good running condition and the quality of o.e & performance bits bolted to it are of high quality, it will end up getting stripped & sold as spares via the usual auction site, or via one of the dodgy "breakers" Also, if the shell itself is of decent quality (undamaged / rust free) it's not unheard of that these cars get stolen purely for someone to use it in a reshell project & the plates happen to get chopped off in the process

Because a car like that is worth a lot of money in unidentifiable pieces.sometimes i really wonder why do some people steal rare/unique cars? I'm surprised he had it as long as a week if it was being parked in Walthamstow.....especially without every aftermarket security device known to man being fitted to it.....!!!
Sadly I agree, that it's already likely to be in many pieces by now. I know what it's like to have a RS Ford nicked and never seen again.........and as much as I love 'em, I wouldn't have another, as they are such a target for thieving scum.

Also someone I know had a Sierra Cosworth saloon J reg I think, in that similar burgundy colour stolen earlier this year in Leyton. Previously he said some Asian Arabic boys kept pestering him to sell it to them which he refused as it had sentimental value.
He suspects they may have took it as neighbours said a tow truck came and removed it; wasn't council tow trucks.
