Brilliant. Perhaps it comes with a matching pooch bag. Got to admire the idea.

That means it's a slushbox auto doesn't it?

That's the differential. Works the same way as a Torsen (which is a company name rather than type of diff). They're a mechanical LSD that directs the power to the wheel with the most grip up to a certain ratio. Unlike a locking differential that puts the drive to both wheels 50/50.

Oh bummer. paddle shift only. thats a deal breaker.

It has a proper sequential gearbox. It'll still have a clutch pedal, you'll just only use it pulling away and stopping. Even if it didn't have paddles, it'd have a lever that you pulled and kept your foot buried on the throttle (it'd have flatshift at the very least) and you'd only use the clutch on the way down. On a transmission like this, paddle shift is very much warranted and indeed preferred. It's a very different beast to dual clutch robotised manuals.

Interesting car. But yawn, what a disappointingly sexist vid - would've been much more interesting if the ScaJo lookalike had jumped into the driver's seat and done the dab of oppo/wheelspin routine herself. Guess the RXC is aimed at the mid-life-crisis market? rolleyes
Bang on. It made me cringe, in between looking at her tits. Fat man and those sunglasses, target marketing so accurate I have to give credit to Radical.

Yes, obviously the diff! It was my (rather poor) acerbic reply to the paddle shift comment.

I got to see ones of these at Snetterton for the BTCC a few months back, very impressive bit of kit, didnt know it was 10k plus though. Never even realised it was a road car.

Indeed a little more than 10k!

It's a road car to allow it to go GT racing to appeal to the gentleman driver who might otherwise go GT racing in a Ferrari, Porsche or Mclaren. AIUI.

I love the concept it's brilliant to build a road-legal hard core racer that expands Radical's racing horizons.

Looks good in the flesh too.

She teaches drifting, and they didn't film her doing the driving??

I hope Radical's engineering is more forward-thinking than its marketing rolleyes

I was probably similar to a bit in Victoria Coren's book on poker where she's at a tournament and the TV people say they're "looking for a woman who knows =about poker and is good on camera" and suffix it with "and we were wondering if you knew anyone?" wink
