Is this the same as a DB9? I can never tell, they all look the same.

Not sure id have one over a Porka. Id definately have one as a second car, as well as a Porka though. Lovely machine although id want it in a normal colour.

Nothing like the massive engine/small car feeling. This is about as far down that road as you can go. In a dark colour and with orange lenses for me.

OOOh! That colour..... So much better than the usual boring silver/black/etc.

Proper car. Automated manual? Bring it on. First time I've really become excited over an Aston in a long while. Not too bad on weight either. Facelift? Yup. And the girl has lost a bit of avoirdupois in the process.....

A stunning car wearing too much make up.

Yes it hits the spot for me but I would request all of the vents to be body coloured otherwise it looks a bit like a Dubai shopper

Its lost its looks. Like the glamorous female Hollywood stars of the sixties, the Vantage has had one facelift too many.
I agree. I think this is a backward step in terms of looks.

Having driven a V12V manual I always thought it would be better suited with a semi-auto paddle gearbox and that might also help me with the driving position as the stick was always too far back as I sit quite close to the wheel.
Will have to arrange a test drive in due course but will I be cancelling my 991GT3 order - NO most definitely NOT

Not disagreeing with you, but would you say a Monaro is a small car? I wouldn't, and they weigh the same yikes

Vantage is slightly wider but 400mm shorter though, so it is physically smaller and I'm sure the small cockpit helps thumbup

I like the carbon vents. This is an aggressive car compared to the standard Vantage, without the vents being prominent it looks just the same as an early 4.3 Vantage...

99% of people are unable to tell Aston models apart. That's a scientific fact.

I hate automated manuals, Should have just stuck the 8spd ZF in. Works for everyone else.

If you have to lift for a change and have to have precog to spot the change coming for smoothness you may aswell have a 3rd pedal. Automated manuals are a horrible compromise.

Full auto/DSG or not at all please

No, no no....don't like.

This is what happens when you cross an Aston with an Impreza. You get something as tasteless as this. I don't doubt it's a fine car, but 'lairy' is not what Astons are supposed to be.

FFS!
I get the feeling people just cut and paste "if only it came with a manual" into every thread?
It's had a manual for years, AML have canned it because they have a more suited option (according to the article) that most of the people want.

Do you guys whinging about a manual box delete the ABS, TC & servo brakes on your cars?
Are you running Cross-ply tyres?

I believe a large part of the decision for this box is to save weight also.
