What good value screenwash for the winter?
Discussion
Just diluted the last of my cheapo poundland concentrate screenwash, and looking at how the weather is going it's nearly time to swap to something with a lower freezing point than -4 degrees neat.
But being a tight git I don't want to spend £3-4 a litre on screenwash; what brands of screenwash do you use in the winter that work well and cost about £1.50 a litre? (about what I paid last year for wilko's own winter mix)

This stuff I find excellent
Works out very cheap when diluted properly

Liddle do some very concentrated stuff. Has a very low freeze point on it. A lot lower than any others I found.
Was 5 litres for 4 to 5 quid
Euro car
parts had some stuff fairly cheap but the lidle had a lot lower freeze point so was better value

You beat me by seconds!/end of thread.
Vw stuff from the stealers actually worked well
I used to do mega mega miles and would wrap the washer pipe around radiator hoses in the engine bay, nice shot of warm water does wonders
And no my screen didn't shatter and kill many mini buses full of children

The aforementioned Lidl screenwash is on sale from Thurs 24th October.
I was just topping up the cars yesterday and I'm down to about 4 litres remaining of diluted Lidl screenwash (I usually have enough left at the end of winter to be diluted down and last all summer) and wondering when it was due in the shop. It's fantastic stuff.

Got some Coma stuff that goes down to -60. Seems to do the trick.
I was just going to suggest this - I get the comma stuff from the local motor factors, its about £1 a litre in 5 litre containers and when diluted is still good to something like -20. Its cheaper than anything you'll get at halfords , tesco etc and its much much better.ETA just found that amazon are charging £30 for 5L of comma extreme. Blimey. I know I only paid about £5 at the motor factors last year , maybe they've put the prices up.... or amazon have a whacking good margin.

I have two bottles left over from last year, did not pay that much for them. Halfords showing 3.99 a litre. Think I paid less at the motor factors.Edited by Dodsy on Monday 21st October 11:48
