Anyone know when exactly next year? Can't come soon enough IMO, especially if they manage to craft the front of the new 2 series onto it, I may just buy one then. Hopefully though it won't also come with a price hike!
An extremely helpful dealer on the Babybmw forum, confirmed that the LCI is now not due on the 1er until March 2015.

No bad thing, residuals-wise, for those of us already in M135is!

Yep great for current owners, not so great for everyone else smile

Although I do suspect that when the LCI is eventually released, the prices of current M135's will tank, especially if it looks a a bit better as hoped.

Oh well, the search for the perfect family car continues....

Let's be honest, those cars can't be driven at more than 6/10th on an open road without imminent loss of licence so a tiny (potential) performance gap for £10k ?
So why not just buy a 120d? hehe

My car has less than 160bhp and it's pretty rare that I get to use full throttle on the public road for more than a couple of seconds.

Its the same on a track though pal?

Couple seconds of WOT, Brake, turn, another couple seconds of WOT, Brake, Turn.....and so on.

More power just changes how hard you have to do the brake bit!

Never thought i'd say this but the Golf would be the one i'd pick it even looks FAR better than the other two. And the golf itself isn't exactly a looker.

On a track you're (almost) always either at WoT or braking or cornering at the limit. On even the twistiest of roads, you spend the vast majority of your time sitting at part throttle waiting for the next corner in a powerful car (at least if you want to hold onto your licence and/or avoid killing anyone).
