I'm amazed IP has a value that high, as it was all supposed to be openly published (hence no patent applications). As one senior Army chap told me there "why not? I mean what are you going to do with it [the designs and plans on line at that point], build one yourself?"
Know how seems a little sketchy at that price too, given you'll be paying people who "know how" to do it, or who are going to learn....
You’re nailing the IP point better than I did. You’re right. I’d guess that in all their work FRP would have been unlikely to have had a proper IP lawyer involved to really work out what’s what. So what you’re left with is someone’s vested interest ballooned guesstimate. Know how seems a little sketchy at that price too, given you'll be paying people who "know how" to do it, or who are going to learn....
No belittling of any actual hands on work that was done, but without patents, as you say, and with an open source attitude to development then not sure there’s even value in any trademarks as it’s not a truly competitive field.
Either way, like the £2.1m, the IP figure is open to scrutiny and was simply a hedge for those running the project to try and get something back.
In a fire sale, however, much of that IP probably has zero value. That's just the way it goes.
It partly goes back to an earlier point as well, that if Warhurst had his noodles in place he shouldn’t have had to pay too much for the concern when you strip away the extraneous stuff on the assets sheet.

Very kind words, sir!
I literally can’t argue with that response, and you (and your wife ) may very well be right. After all, many people expend so much energy accumulating as much money as they can, and forget to spend it. We’re a long time dead after all!
AMEN!.....we all die...…..legacy is what we leave behind. 1000mph on land is quite a legacy...……..and I would still have 28 million dollars left to change the world in other ways! Thanks Tiger...….lets root these guys on in 2019!I literally can’t argue with that response, and you (and your wife ) may very well be right. For the cost of the Voyager space mission, you could spend that on the NHS annually or fit out an army with 150 Abrams tanks. Or feed starving kids, less the money diverted to corrupt dictators en route. Everything can argued as to the sanity of necessity of it.
It’s also necessary to pick over the bones of a technological or business failure - you don’t learn otherwise.
But nothing should be done to discourage endeavour.
Just....because...

I see that Noble is also (sole) director of Bloodhound Broadcast Ltd. I wonder who has the TV and film rights to the project? Would they be an 'IP' item for accounting purposes?
Not a lawyer but it seems arguable that TV rights as it were could be defined as intellectual property. In the strict definition that any trademarked or copyrighted work occurring from your creation, is. If you get what I mean.Where Noble might have an issue is having a separate company thinking he has the IP (TV rights) when the “creation” is owned and maybe improved upon by another entity that’s not under his control. Either way, he’d have to purchase it from the entity that’s under liquidation.
I’m sure someone more specialised in the area can work it out, but that’s my understanding.

I doubt he would be able to prevent another company/individual from recording and selling video/images of the project.
If he does make life difficult for the new owner, then I can see the project being renamed/rebranded.

I think that may already have happened.
I'm going to say it....I would not be surprised if yhe new owner donates the car to a museum. All Ian has said so far is (to paraphrase) he "wanred to stop it being broken up".

He said a bit more than that.....and eluded to the teams plans for the upcoming year...…...this thing is moving forward...……...I feel a lot of shakeups will be announced, but as you said......some dead wood needs to be left behind...…..stay tuned good things are coming …..wink, wink!!!!I think that may already have happened.

I'm assuming you are on the inside of the project too?
Not really.....not so much, just experienced 4th hand hearings of a little bit of what might be going on in the inside......No way to personally verify,......but if true...…...its going to be good. It just looks like it may move forward quickly.....that's all I have heard. We will see.....Hawk1018 said:

Here are his choices:
Sell assets: Put car in a museum
Run privately funded project
Seek public / private investors (naturally differently to before)
We should know within about 2 months once he has taken stock. I'm sure he will employ services of 'experts'
