There is a difference between a horizontally opposed engine (flat) and a horizontally opposed, opposed piston engine (flat boxer). The difference is in the position of the pistons.

Pretty sure Porsches are not boxer engines.

Eta: Happy to be corrected though smile

I hate the OP. wink

I was previously very happy with my car history, but...

Now I need a V10 !!!

So, what's the cheapest (secondhand) V10?

Just to annoy the OP, I have had both flat fours, slant fours and inline fours.

i5: Volvo 850, Volvo S70
i6: Jeep Grand Cherokee

So in order of quantity it would be,

i5 = 2
i6 = 1

Never had a 5 and probably never will. There has to be a V8 in my life soon, and I've always fancied a Jaguar XJ-S V12
A v10 might be nice, but I'd rather it was a Bristol Fighter than a BMW or Viper. Are there any others?

I did once work on a fishing trawler with a 9 cylinder engine, if that counts.

Not a lack of desire, more a lack of longevity.
