I agree at the end of the day its down to individual tastes and requirements. with regard to nos ect I have actually raced a TTS against a 12c and 997Gt3,on track... who are better drivers than me.....They could not even get close.....
.
So what? This is all getting rather petty.
It's not just about the length, or the girth.

Love the clean design and details of the 12C up close and although it can look a little bland in some colours (Yellow included) in the right shade its a very very handsome car
I don't normally like yellow cars but I saw a yellow 12C on the M25 and it was stunning. It's not the normal yellow you get on most cars. I don't think video does it justice.Well I thought the turbo did OK to stay with the 12c to 120mph, did the same on the Autocar test against the F12 as well, where they didn't use launch control either. (it's better not to use it as who would in real life?)
I don't think there is any shame in coming second best to the 12c, perhaps the 991 GT2/RS when/if they come out might be in the same league as the 12c but the Turbo is a rung down on the ladder in terms of price.
Not sure I like the look of the new turbo though.

For everyone else's sake I fking hope so. I've never seen a thread on hear so de-railed by one person because his car lost a drag race.
don't worry mate...I could not GAFF, many cars will out run a TTs not a problem.....but not a 12C. I feel like I broken down out side WONGA....BiGreat video followed by ridiculous (if very funny) thread.
It's always great to see the word "fact" bandied about willy nilly when the word "opinion" is far more accurate. In my opinion.
I particularly liked a Porsche 911 Turbo S being described as a "Q" car. Classic.

I presume you live out in the sticks. The 991 TTS is practically a Q-car if you live in a city like London. No different from common as muck, the other 911 variants (this is particularly true of a new 911). ETA: Oh Vancouver, J4CKO above explains what a 'Q-car' is better than I could.
Is it just me, every time I say 991 TTS it comes out as tits?

Not sure that i have read any stats apart from the 0-60 that shows the TTS to be match for the Mclaren in any performance measurment. The Mclarens lower weight and extra 60+bhp surely makes it a non-contest.
And anyone blessed with the power of sight knows that as well. APOLO1 said:

So you don't care, and yet you're still here going on about it... And that's he second time you've said bye to this thread. Try following up on your promises, its the honourable thing to do. Ed Straker said:

Let's not forget the turbo has four seats which puts it in a different league when it comes to usability.
LolIt so does not.
If you can afford a Macca you can afford to have the wife and kids sit in your Range Rover when the need arises.

No J4CKO does not explain what a Q-car is. He explains how the term was used inappropriately. A 911 Turbo S is less conspicuous than a McLaren but a Q-car it definitely is not. ETA: Oh Vancouver, J4CKO above explains what a 'Q-car' is better than I could.
And believe you me, with all the Chinese money in Vancouver, 911s are 2-a-penny whilst every variety of Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren etc are common sights. Generally driven by 17 year olds.

Oh dear, I appear to have been sucked in to APOLO1s vortex, but you get the idea, for someone who's used to cars at that level, a Turbo S is less ostentatious (whilst being as fast as much more exotic machinery in the real world). Unless you're an anorak/petrolhead, I doubt you could tell which of the 911 variant is coming up in your rear-view mirror. And believe you me, with all the Chinese money in Vancouver, 911s are 2-a-penny whilst every variety of Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren etc are common sights.
