I still think the MP4c looks and sounds so so dull for such an expensive car. Leaves me completely cold.
Compared to a 911?!?

12c in candy apple red please.

0-124mph in 8.5 seconds has been the headline figure since launch.

Yes, that mid gray interior is awful isn't it.

Porsche interiors can be really awful IMO in some of the color options.

Any Porsche GT# - yes absolutely I'd even take a 996 GT2 over the MP4c. Even much prefer the 997 Turbo S.

Just my opinion....

Fair enough, For me a GTx, yes, a Turbo , No.

Love the clean design and details of the 12C up close and although it can look a little bland in some colours (Yellow included) in the right shade its a very very handsome car

Mate, they are both in max attack mode and the slowest Mac is just faster than the fastest Porsche (Until the 918 arrives) it really is.Did you not just watch it ??

The Turbo is a fine car but its not as quick as the 12C. And yes, the 12C costs a lot more but the Turbo is a lot of money for a car that looks not entirely unlike a £45k Boxster. And I say that as a lover of all things 911.
don't flow your reasoning....CH is in the Mac, no inside pics of the TTS on take off, launch control requires a procedure. Sport plus ect...do not see this engaged, from the way the tts takes off I would say that it is not.....,as for saying that a 991tts looks like a 45k boxster.....each to there own....ill ask for my 100k back when I pk up my second one next month. IMV the tts is good value.....

I think you should.

Looking forward to your thread on the Porsche forum about how much money they will have lost you in a few months.

You moaned enough about the 12c, but the depreciation on the tts will be epic. Actually. , let me correct that - 2x epic in your case.

Bon chance

What difference would launch control have made, assuming it wasn't engaged? The Porsche was quicker off the line in the video (and it looked like a very clean getaway) but was monstered by the 12C over 100 mph.

love both cars but would prefer the porsche , from what i have seen the 12c is as fast in a straight line as the f12 berlinetta , and faster than the aventador. I can't think of a car that puts it power down as well as the mclaren , the fact that the 911 almost keeps up with it , and BEATS it for the initial 0-100mph is very respectable. After all the most important stage of acceleration , on track and on road is below 120 , rarely will there be an opportunity for the 12c to stretch its legs to 200mph .

on track a 991tts, will leave a 12C....Like half a lap in front after a lap.....ok in the wet.......

Autocar also didn't use launch control for the 911 vs f12 race , and even then the 911 was quicker off the line , bearing in mind the horsepower advantage of the 12c , i think it would make a massive difference , as after all the turbo s is quoted as 2.8 to 60mph , much quicker than the 3.2 chris quoted. i think its fair to say the 911 wasn't launched as well as it could be

It's gonna be worse. Much worse.

No one really digs the Tts. Everyone wants a GT3. Porsche dealers will laugh at you when you try to sell.

It's always been this way with the Turbo. Plenty of turbos available from stock around the network already.

Hey, but it's only money.

yes , if I'm correct the 991 turbo s is the fastest production car around the saschenring , faster than the 625 bhp mclaren , and the 997 gt2 rs , both of which were on race tyres , the 911 was on standard production tyres.

With CH being a big Porsche lover, I can't see how he wouldn't make sure the 911 was in full attack mode whether he was driving it or not. Can't see him not wanting to give it a fair chance....

Correct.....Its not just LC, its sport plus. lot more torque and much much faster throttle map....Like having the 12c in winter mode it winds back the throttle map.....not a fair test IMV
