You'll need some decent winter tyres on your beast if you want to make progress like that at this time of the year wink

Mine is a measly 535d, although my megane 225 felt a lot faster tbh.

yes A cheap set of steels are de rigueur; ebay will furnish you some for £60. It's a win/win - improved looks and all weather invincibility. So what if you never need them? Sod handling - leave them on all year for extended all season confidence.

My 310bhp Audi A8 4.2 is probably the 'all round' fastest car I've owned, though the 241bhp MR2 Turbo that went before it was faster 0-60 (5.1 seconds, felt it too) and was possibly quicker round tight little B roads, if conditions were right. It definitely felt quicker, with your arse scraping the floor and the engine growling behind your head! The Audi was unflappable though and could get it's considerable grunt down with very little difficulty.

I sold it to a guy from Copenhagen....Last I heard was that he couldn't get it registered over there because it was too modified! That was 3 years ago now so I have no idea where it is now.
If it wasn't that one, there was an identical one at Trax this year.

My current Golf 4motion @ 204bhp although my ST24 felt quicker and i suspect it might be. That might just be rose-tinted glasses however.
