I'd be interested to know if anyone has any idea of the warranty the specialists (Hanwells for instance) offer with a car
Ike this; it must be a Duesie, as one claim could potentially be for £000's.
Other than that, I'd think that if you could afford the running and servicing costs, it offers so much class compared to the equivalent S class etc...
I've got this childish thought in my mind of pulling up at some traffic lights and showing some so-called fast cars a clean pair of heels when the lights change....
I can't speak with regards to aftermarket warranties, but even the extended Bentley warranty isn't that great. They'll always try to get out any warranty claim.Ike this; it must be a Duesie, as one claim could potentially be for £000's.

The car is quick, later 2008/9 model with 6 speed gearbox much nicer than the previous one (was a 4 speed). Can get wheelspin at 60 mph should you desire, and off the lights it was great fun as you could pull a gap on almost any car. My 430 would lose out gunning for a gap.
But REALLY heavy car and eats brakes and tyres. I managed to rack up an 8k service bill mainly due to needing new tyres, brake discs and pads. Drove it daily for 3 months (whilst 430 was in repairs) and missing the 430 I drove the Arnage like I stole it!
Bentley main dealers ALWAYS find something wrong with it. Sat Nav system is so crap.
Has a real presence on the road. I think it's a nicer more resolved shape than the Mulsanne (which I hate the back of but love the front).
Drinks lots of fuel, is massive, steering has little feel (more like steering a boat), brake feel is crap and they're not really up to the job of a car so powerful, but a car you fall in love with. Other road users on motorways move over quick when they see it come up fast behind them. Although the Phantom (which dwarfs the Arnage!) takes that to another level.

Buying guide for the masses this one!
They can be had for less than the price of many of the cars on this list: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-23...Definitely on my list as I still miss my Turbo R and am dying to buy an Arnage now that the prices are getting reasonable. Want the Bentley engine and a T would be perfect if I could find at the right price. I found one last summer I loved but SWMBO insists I get rid of one of the cars before investing in a new one.
I am working on her! She just had the most amazing Christmas presents from me including a luxury overnight stay in the Cotswolds in a few weeks (during which I shall suggest a Bentley again). What do you reckon to my chances?

M467 RTF was a 4l Twin Turbo that was used as a development mule for the Java programme. It has nothing to do with the green label 4.4l TT engine. That was much later. That was my test mule until it was rolled by "handling experts" at MIRA who will remain nameless...
The Arnage camshaft wear has NOTHING to do with ECU programming and everything to do with poor dynamics design of the valvetrain. Cured in the 2007 upgrade.

Thanks for clarifying that. I couldn't make any sense out of the original remark. The Arnage camshaft wear has NOTHING to do with ECU programming and everything to do with poor dynamics design of the valvetrain. Cured in the 2007 upgrade.
