It might not be 100% perfect but it's looks are far more interesting than the equivalent German offerings IMO, the interior looks a bit more special and the sound of the petrol engine is just fantastic, oh and as a bonus you get that warm feeling of owning a Maserati.

Yes the steering feel and ride might not be great but this is a criticism that could be levelled at a lot of it's German rivals too if not most modern cars these days.

I hope these depreciate with the usual Maserati aplomb, roll on the next 2-3 years and these dropping to sub £30k when I will snap one up as my next family wagon.

Wills, the engines are not built by Ferrari. They are built alongside the Ferrari engines but by a wholly Maserati team. It is expected that the block will make an appearance in a future Ferrari, with some tweaks of course, but right now it is 100% Maserati.
Good enough for me! thumbup

First Maserati I've seen where I havnt instantly lusted after it.

I imagine it will grow on me and I'd probably prefer it to a audi. But as others have said xf or xj for me.

This should have been the perfect Thesis follow up. But then, as for a quality brand Lancia has teh Ypsilon over here in Europe . . . and that's it.

Big Alfa: yeah . . . what an opportunity missed.

No, they have the Lancia Thema (300C derivative) now.
This would have made a great true successor to the original Chrysler 300C though, had they marketed it as a Lancia.
