RE: Koenigsegg Agera One:1 - (some) details
Discussion
Right, I've been reading this thread and some interesting information, I must admit.
As for the looks, well it certainly is mad and some of the technology seems really innovative and invokes the imagination.
However,
I remain unconvinced that K'Egg will pull this off successfully. No doubt he and his team have great technical skill and the ambition is there, but I'm not sure that this thing will actually work properly.
I want to be proven wrong.
P1 just works. So does the 918. Not convinced this will. And, I hate to say, without a hybrid system it's bordering on irrelevant.
All IMHO

The basic shape of the car is 20 years old.
Now it's just added tat.
Never really understood Koenigsegg's approach, just add power and make massive claims and that'll do.
They've been pioneers in the use of some of the most highly sophisticated manufacturing techniques you can imagine; the 3D printing of turbocharger components springs to mind. Their use of carbon composite materials is pretty much unrivalled not only when compared with other small companies but also the big guns such as Porsche and McLaren. They're also at the absolute cutting edge in the development of Cam-less engines. To think of them simply as a company who aim for the highest power figure and hope for the best would be very short sighted. Now it's just added tat.
