And it would not be there if it wasn't for him.
Ring card is a bit annoying tbh. The graffiti on the track needs to stay. It's part of what makes the ring the ring.
Hitler had nothing to do with the building of the nurburgring, it was built in 1925-26-27 and had its first event in June 1927.Ring card is a bit annoying tbh. The graffiti on the track needs to stay. It's part of what makes the ring the ring.
The ring card was a complete disaster, good news that its gone.
While punters were prepared to poke fun your new owners being our stereotypical interpretation of Americans taking over the Ring
You go and sell it to a locally owned automotive company who are in good financial health so we are left making jokes in a tenuous link to a state visit by Hitler of the circuit you still own and maintain.
Yeah take that Germany!!!
It takes a special arrogance to make fun of you when this is the view of Brooklands race circuit from a Tesco's Metro Carpark and all we are left of is making a TV show about building a scale model of it in Scaletrics.

I'll be glad to see the back of the rubbish Ring card! the amount of money they must of earnt from unspent Euros and Cents leftover on them I mean it's a pain when you want to buy a cold drink in the Devils diner and you only have cash and they won't accept it :O
And how many people thought - bugger it, i'll just go somewhere else where the accept CASH.BBS-LM said:
Well at least something has happened at long last, and I'm kind of glad it went to a German company, the British buyers sound like they wanted to Disney the place up, and that was the problem to begin with. I say flatten the roller coaster and complex, and make it into one big car park and maybe some pit garages which could be hired out if people need them. The list could go on, and on. If you cater for the Car Fans out there, and let face it, that is why they are all there, for the love of racing, and cars, and bikes, you could make an absolute killing if done right.
My thoughts exactly. The Ring would have been turned into a theme park had it not gone to Capricorn.Edited by BBS-LM on Tuesday 11th March 20:53
Fingers crossed they do a much better job of ownership and de-corporatise the place! It's a race track, not f*** Disneyland!
As for the graffiti comments.. I love it, it's a huge part of the place's character. Ok, the "CTR BOIEZ" tagging Karussel can definitely gtfo, but the imaginitive & artistic graffiti should always stay!

And again in English?? You go and sell it to a locally owned automotive company who are in good financial health so we are left making jokes in a tenuous link to a state visit by Hitler of the circuit you still own and maintain.

Yes but it was the Nazi party that put it on the map so to speak (or should I say kept it on the map), as they used it as part of their huge propaganda machine over the coming decade. If they didn't, it would likely not have survived at all. The ring card was a complete disaster, good news that its gone.
Conference/exhibition space, hotel accommodation, restaurants/entertainment, improved transport infrastructure including pedestrian access to all the above. Garages and expanding the testing facilities. This is the sort of thing that brings in the cash and makes the whole thing not just viable, but profitable. Also the brand, be it 'the ring' or whatever, isn't at all being exploited to its full potential.
And I'm not talking about theme parks or 'Ferrari World' type monstrosities either. The potential to do it right is huge.
F*ck it, they need me. I'm the visionary. Capricorn One...my body is ready.
