That turbo is ugly. And those wheels look shi*e and must be a nightmare to clean.

Apologies if these turn out to be extremely mundane and not at all rare, but I've been walking past and enjoying these for the past few mornings and they always catch my eye.

Anything special about them?

Cheers! Just seen it! Would have been shocked had not a single person seen it. It was such amazing car. So lucky to have had the chance to borrow it for the weekend.

Was that taken near stone? And were you stood by it in a pink polo top, in a similar place to where the picture was taken?

If so I went past on my motorbike.
Yeah that was me. Can remember you passing, the bike sounded pretty nice for a crotch rocket! Heard you coming from miles away!

Isn't that F type on XF wheels? They look too small for the car.

I saw it!

I'm not entirely sure where I saw it though, as we were heading to Durham from Birmingham and I was having the occasional nap.

But I do recall saying to the others "now that's AWESOME!" and they hadn't the faintest clue what it was :/

A few random car park spots from the 72nd Goodwood Members' Meeting. It reminded me of the very early days of the FoS - just scores of lovely machines brought out for the weekend from all eras.

More shots of most of the cars and some narrative here: http://www.motorcardiaries.co.uk/spotted/

These 190s were Cosworth-fettled. If you had red braces, slicked your hair back, wandered around with a Nokia Mobira Cityman and didn't want an E30 M3....you probably ended up at the Mercedes dealership and were enticed by this instead. Beyond that you would have to roll your dice and look at Integrales or something a little bit more oblique.

Anyway a swift "googling" of the obvious nomenclature will tell you that...2.5-16s and 2.3s were a special buy, then.

http://www.carscoops.com/2010/11/classic-flashback...

As for the 911, well, for sure it does stick out, doesn't it? The sheer ubiquity of the default econobox 'premium' buys from M-B, Audi & BMW these days means that anything different, and a few years old makes most people rub their eyes in wonderment smile

Thanks. A little digging revealed the Porsche was registered in 1970 and is a 2.2. Can't offer much more than that, but it always puts a smile on my face when I walk past it.

(Until I see the speakers they put in the back. weeping)

Saw a black convertible RUF 911 on A12 this afternoon.

A BTR something.

Reg No. 48 PL.

Looked great but had his hood up despite the sunshine.

Great shots. That's quite a camber on the 458 Challenge cars.

And nice illegal plate on the Tuscan to get away with!

Look like the standard 18" Vela wheels (non S model)
