Mclaren P1 in Byfleet this morning, i'd only just pulled out of my street and there it was a few cars ahead, it sounded ridiculous even dawdling through traffic.
Excuse the poor pic.

Saw this exact car in Birmingham on Monday or Tuesday of this week.Excuse the poor pic.

Thought that plate belonged on a Black P1 ???P1 OOU now resides on VP5 (Valuation Prototype 5), a Volcano Yellow car. This car has traveled the world, recently returning from a few track events in China.
In a interesting twist, the plate, P1 OOU, was used simultaneously on XP12, an allegedly static prototype in Volcano Yellow, at an event in the UK while VP5 was in China. I will clarify that the car was not seen on public roads with this plate.

P1 OOU is one of the two pre production cars retained by the Factory the other being the famous P1 OOV the car that did the T.V. and magazine reviews
The factory actual still has about 12 prototypes at minimum. I have heard they will be selling them off though. VP5, PP2 and PP3 have been used by magazines and TV. Now a few customer cars have been used too.

Pen fold...do you somehow photoshop all the other cars out of your pics. How come all the cars you take pics of stand alone in London streets?
Generally i'll wait a bit for a clean shot but I do sometimes remove stuff on photoshop. Mosi said:
Stunning car and very much 'in your face' - how do you find other road users treat you? I recently watched an item on the classic car show and it contrasted how other motorists treated a guy driving an R8 and then a classic mustang or corvette. In the case of the R8, it was basically some abuse and people doing their best not to let him out of junctions etc. Curious to hear about your experiences! :-) Martin_M said:

Generally pretty good Martin, no issues so far. I suppose much of it comes down to how you drive it, as there is no strealth mode in a car like this, so every daft manoeuvre is spotted. Most of the time Joe public are too busy scrabbling around for their camera phones to get some Instagram or Facebook gold of the car to do much else.
