What a gloriously pretty, but rather wobbly thing this was. Never seen one before, and discovered where some of the design ideas for the early 2000s CL coupe came from.

Interestingly, that's a replica, probably by a now defunct company called Tri-Tech. Powered by some sort of scooter engine and gearbox.

Sauce: my father has a few Messerschmitts.
So it's NOT a replica.....! rolleyes
It's a replica.

I believe when Tri-tech were about the Schmitts were put on original Messerschmitt plates as the company up in Preston were buying up wrecked Messerscmitts and their log books, however the Zettas weren't original enough in comparison to the Isetta and therefore were put on Q plates. Probably all a bit naughty looking back!

You'll also notice the extra vent just infront of the back wheel to provide added cooling, minilites which were popular on the Schmitts and the mechanicals visible look like they are from the Honda CH250.

My dad went through a phase and had 4 Zettas, 3 Isettas including a Hayabusa powered one and a Heinkel!

EB110's though.

I'd pick it over all the others every day of the week and twice on a Sunday (the second time being an SS).

Usual load of stuff in Chelsea this morning just going out to brunch. 458, 2 X F12, 599 GTO lookalike, a host of Astons and plenty more.

Shocking photo as was too slow, but a rare spot and lovely spec on Monaco plates....

Amazing how small and low it is fresh. Far prettier than the PR images.

Wheels look quite small on that I have to say, especially at the rear. And what are they ? 19 or 20 inch ??

How weird, as it went past me I though exactly the opposite. The scoop adds so much presence having seen both now.

Definitely prefer with scoop.

I like that I'd have accented it in McLaren orange though
Fronts are 19, rears are 20 same as the 650

Ah, yes, the Nova. More should be done to laud Richard Oakes its unsung hero.

(I don't think that's Richard Oakes in the picture btw.)
