Didn't take long for the i8 to look 'normal' did it, I remember thinking it looked epic when I first saw it

Might just be the gloomy colour on a gloomy day doing the car a disservice though
Yeah, I know what you mean. I've seen one in Matte Blue and Matte Black and they looked amazing

Spotted this in London - American plates with a stack of parking fines stashed under the wipers, looked abandoned to be fair.

Could be. I don't follow football, so can't answer your question I'm afraid. The guy pulled up, parked on double yellows, popped into House of Fraser, returned and left with quite a lot of shopping.

He was also more mature than your average footballer.

'GE' number plates ring a bell in my memory(?)

Wasn't there a chap in South Wales who ran a mobile phone business and had an array of Supercars (inc' an Orange Koenigsegg IIRC) and who's driving 'style' caused much discussion a few years back?

NB. I am in no way making any connection between the two statements above.

Of course the plate might now belong to someone else and the owner completely unrelated to the articles published....(?)

Same person, and he still owns the plate.

Phantom hearse, seen it a few times but never been able to get a picture of it

Owned by Nottingham funeral directors A W Lymn. Owners of the largest Rolls-Royce fleet in the world.

More here on the hearse:

http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/first-offici...

They also have a huge collection of '1' private plates on all their fleet - right down to fleet which aren't used for funeral duties such as vans and pool cars:

Saw this esrlier in the week, A19 up to the M62 Westbound, with 'passenger'. Very surreal sight.

Visiting Singapore on business for the next few days...

Just arrived at the hotel and found this Aventador parked in the afternoon downpour:

With local market import taxes, it's an GBP 800,000 plus car
