It's a lovely sound but it's not what a Tuscan should sound like to me.

^ that's why a straight six will always be my first love; cultured and angry in the same breath (I still maintain that the LS engined Tiv in the OP also sounds fantastic)

Know what Warwick? I think the AJP8 sounds cack. It's obnoxious and I love its character and delivery but I could take or leave the sound.

I reckon the Tuscan would suit the AJP8 and its brutal mentalism better and the more classic looking Cerbera maybe better suits the Speed Six.

Hmmmm.

I'd have thought keeping the TVR is the more usual reason for separating from one's wife!

Seriously why would you, especially when you can have a 400bhp Tvr S6 with a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty for less than £10k
8200 rpm in a speed-6 engined race car vs 8300 rpm in a standard S54-engined remapped road car? Plus you could buy a crashed M3 for a lot less than £10k.

The howl of the S6 is hard to beat. Even at idle it's nuts. A few weeks ago I pulled up at the lights behind a T350c- I could feel the burble through the pedals of my car where the sound waves were making the bulkhead vibrate. when it pulled away it left me grinning like a school boy biggrin

I'm sorry but no straight 6 can compare to the sound of a Crossplane V8, as demonstrated by this lovely TVR griffith

Sound, yes ok the S6 sounds better at full chat but people are missing some important points here. The LS can rev from cold, is totally unstressed, can be tuned/ mod'd easily up to 600 HP without too much hassle and is emissions compliant. My S6 cars sounded like a bag of spanners from cold until warm so most of my driving was done below 3000 RPM and not that much fun. I swapped my Tuscan S2 for a griff as I just couldn't put up with the compromised practicality of the S6.

I can see why someone who isn't too fussed about the clear difference in noise but wants a more practical (and cheaper in the long run) TVR would go for the conversion.

Looks and sounds great in the video. Congrats to the owner.

I understand what you mean but I liked the angry individual sound that the AJP8 gave & for me it was what the Cerbera was all about & they put the speed six in everything else anyway but I still love that engine as its smoother & more free revving than the AJP8 anyway.

I love the sounds of both the 8s and 6s, but I have to agree, that exhaust system does look a bit naff. Still, it's a custom job so will look exactly how the owner wanted it to look, and I'm sure he loves it.
