I like the styling. Needs to be in a bright colour though.

Makes a 458 look extremely fussy.

I'd still take a 12C over it though.

For the first full write-up on PH about a new Lamborghini, I'm just surprised by the lack of comments. Perhaps this really is underwhelming for many.

Not a huge leap forward from an already old car, all the electronic additions are really just for the sales pitch...and that's the reality of how these cars sell..styling and gimmickry.
It looks great and has all the right bits, should sell really well.

This car really doesn't do it for me I must say.

And are those rear parking sensors along the back? They look a bit.. hmm...

Still undecided on it. Think I prefer the R8 again.

Also, I know it's totally trivial but every single time I see a frontal picture of it, this panel line drives me nuts:

Orange spyder with orange/black interior and black alloys... stuff your McLarens and 458's this thing is awesome!

Lamborghinis will always have more presence than the Ferrari on McLaren in my opinion!

Loving the n/a 5.2 engine too, glad they didn't move to FI yet.

I am sure that there will be a track focused version 'Superleggara' version out in due course.

I really love the looks of this, for me it's the best looking supercar out there. The design is exotic but clean and very well resolved to my eye, lovely proportions. I'd have it in a boring colour, gunmetal or black black will do nicely thanks. Not given the video a squint yet, will get on it later.

Edited together an alternative vid from a composite of the various camera mountings I was fiddling about with.

See here!

Is that not like saying Susan Boyle's face is getting better?

(Sorry Dan, I do mean that tounge firmly in cheek. It's just I cannot resist such an obvious and facetious joke when it's sat there! biggrin)

Actually I am a bit disappointed judging from your comments, I for one am sold on the looks so it could have earnt itself a place well and truly in my dream car garage. The engine was always going to be a master piece so it only needed the steering and box to be on par with the 458. Really there is no excuse to not match a product that has been on the market place for 4 years prior.
I dont suppose Audi (look two facetious jokes in one post) care given I will never be able to afford one.

Looks epic, but no drama in the cockpit. Looked a bit boring.
Love Lambos normally.

The more I look at it, the less I like it.

This was all set to be my next car if I liked it, but I can't stand the rear of it and the interior is crap.

I'm genuinely gutted.

What happened at 0:37 - was that it bouncing off the limiter?

ETA and 1:41. Who is that driving????
To be fair, when you're testing one of these things you have to deliberately let it hit the limiter so that you can tell readers at what point it happens and how it feels. Especially if, as Dan Trent says, it hits you right after peak power. I'd find that massively annoying.
You'd find a proper naturally aspirated engine annoying?! Where else is the peak power going to be?! Perhaps people should just learn to change gear at the right time. Apparently it only involves pulling a paddle these days... (although even that is deemed too awkward).

Sure this will be a lovely road car. Looks great, has an exciting engine, what more could you want. It's the engine Mclaren should've designed instead of that dreadful turbo st heap.

Like what exactly? You didn't mention any in the story.

Well, it could be worse... at least nobody who buys a Lambo cares about how it drives, not really, so it's not such a big problem in the end.
