Mate, regardless of what you think, it isn't very clever to accuse them of car crime on a public forum. I think you over stepped the mark and run the risk of bordering on defamation. What proof do you have apart from circumstantial evidence?

But effectively they have RUNG the car. And that's dubious at best. That's why I'm annoyed people are so blasé about the ID of the cars. And the points system that's designed to stop this sort of thing. The same points system that apparently now the DVLA and VOSA have forgotten about???

If you read the build thread he mentioned a certain bonding and welding technique employed (which must have been checked). Is it possible it could be done well, and really have all the tech his other customers have to get the power stated? In your mind is that a possibility?

By the way, what qualifications and experience do you have in engineering (specifically welding/bonding and structural design) that gives you an insight in to this car without actually seeing it? Just wondering, genuinely curious.

64 posts and more than half on whether its been correctly registered with the DVLA.

Its something very different, made by a british mob and literally follows the PH 'speed matters' mantra and all some of you can do is go on about the DVLA, car theft, accusations and is it still a Qashqai or GTR.

Then trying to purvey truth with Imagine this and Imagine that.

I must put out here that I have been contacted by the founder of SVM now a number of times in the last couple of hours (not via PH) to meet up and discuss this; what to do?

1. Turn up with VOSA and camera crew
2. Take the Ariel Atom and have a face off
3. Listen to what he has to say whilst drinking poisoned coffee
4. Buy it and delete all my posts

Well it does need checking if that isn't the case (obviously), but how can they accept it, but not check it? If you want to race it then it would make sense to put a full cage in (as you would any car).

However Don, I think I would rather be in his car than an Atom in a crash

I'm not going off his ET. i'm going off his mph. The weight quoted and his mph dont add up to 1150 hp, that's why i asked if he was backing off.

SVM have created something pretty cool and unique, and whether it has claimed power or if it's been registered correctly has become more of an issue than celebrating something as petrol head themed as it comes

I think if there selling this at 275k to someone then the way it's registered is a bit more important then wether it's cool or unique
