No pic but at Fort Kinnaird this afternoon,a car parked at 45 degrees into a disabled bay,AND left half sticking out into the road! Wasn't mid-park either,no one was in it. Looked more abandoned than parked

Clearly it was since the Audi is taking a third of it up.

And something else could have been in the rest of it. Domino effect

bks - if there was something else there then Mr Audi would have been Friar Tucked when exiting the car - unless he done a passenger side shuffle to get out, that I doubt very much.

I was at Fort Kinnaird earlier too and seen the exact same car, possible the worst parked car I've ever seen in my life, what a wker.

I think the double-parkers need to do all their Xmas shopping these next few week.

Come December, the car parks will all be full and anyone taking two spaces is likely to receive a lot more comeback than normal.
Tensions will be high and patience low. wink

Those spaces are ridiculously narrow. They look to be about the width of the Audi.

See this scamera van a few times a week always parked on double yellows at a bus stop, if he isnt blocking the pavement then he is blocking the road causing cars to have to go round him.

Strangely I did follow this van a few weeks ago being driven rather enthusiastically faster than the posted speed limit biggrin

It's not a scamera van, the same company operates one around Oldbury as well. After I'd seen it a couple of times I actually read the writing on it and they are just something along the lines of security installation company.

This one really pissed me off. Spaces everywhere including about 30 feet away. Nope, I drive a big car so I can park across hatching next to disabled bays because I REALLY need to get into Sainsburys faster.

TBH, I don't see what the supermarkets can do about bad parking.
I suppose they could issue a parking ticket for being parked outside a bay, but, there not enforceable.
Maybe a big sticker telling someone they have parked like a knob stuck on the screen!

I would love to see them calling out registration numbers over the shop tannoy in the most embarrasing way every 15mins.

''Ladies and gentlemen, the following persons have currently parked in such a inconsiderate way that they have have been awarded honorary loser status for the rest of their visit. Please feel free to give them the loser sign as you see them leave or outside their homes, if they are neighbours.

Range Rover XXXXXXX in cross hatching
BMW XXXXXX parked in mother and child as a single driver.
Transit XXXXXXX parked in a disabled bay''

If only.... biggrin

Its easy, Reduce the number of small parking spaces, Re paint lines to make spaces bigger (like they do at Costco, Include an area where LWB Vans can also park(longer and wider spaces) this will stop vans taking up two or more spaces

You will not get less customers wink In fact you may get more because its easier to park smile

They could also introduce CCTV to cover known trouble spots, Parent and toddler parking, Disabled bays. Near the shop. Anyone caught using them could face a warning and fine.

Easy.

I couldn't take a photo of this one because I was driving at the time so some imagination will be necessary.

The scene:

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.7522376,-1.60025...

Now imagine a Vectra parked on the road next to the phone box under the large tree, on the zig zags for the zebra, just after a mini roundabout and close to the little central reservation bit with the sign on so nothing bigger than a car could get through.

Now picture a chap crossing the road (not on the zebra) eating from a freshly purchased bag of chips.

Really?

You could have 15 ft wide spaces and some knob will still park like a knob.
CCTV?, what good would that do,- cctv spots a single bloke parking in a mother/child bay, security tells driver to move, driver tells them to F off.
What fine can the supermarket give them?

They did this when I was in B&Q once. It was the evening, the shop hadn't been open long and the car park virtually empty, but some east European clowns parked right out side the door on the hatching. They called the number out and the two wide boys said it was no problem they were just about to pay and go. This was no use to the rather pissed off lady that told them to put their good down and move the car before paying if they wanted the goods and never darken the doors again.

Car Park is property of supermarket or Landlord, they could employ private company to issue fines or clamp vehicles. Works in other areas. People would soon get the point.
