Cuuld have been moving house or something, the fact the driver was there means he could move the car if someone wider needed to get past presumably?
He was definitely taking something to/from the house, but he could have easily parked where the cone is. He was in the house, but only looked as I beeped the horn, would an emergency vehicle have it's siren on or just lights on a road like that? They would also have to wait while he moved it, which takes up precious time.
Probably just someone who is unable to parallel park so didn't.

That won't be the case for many ordinary cars, but I'd like to see someone attempt to get a hose across a VW Transporter
Yep, I've tried that with my T4 at a rural garage where the pumps were only working on one side. Even with the nose right next to the filler it didn't reach. Had to turn the van round eventually. Strawman said:
Maybe, or the space was being held for a van, I take your point about emergency services though, although they tend to avoid narrow roads where they can.
Fair point, however I would say the mini could be moved when the van arrives. Anyway went past not long ago, mini is now in the coned off space.over_the_hill said:

I'm surprised they authorised that and started the pump. Looks a bit dangerous to me. If another car swings in to the left hand pump they might well not see the hose - ripped out of her hands - petrol all over the place.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
