The BAD PARKING thread [vol3]
Discussion
This was much worse in person, I approached from the other side but didn't want to take a photo when one of the drivers was there.
The Clio is parked past the start of the bend, so the N/S rear wheel is about a foot from the kerb. The Scenic is just taking the piss, it was at a ridiculous angle, looked almost abandoned.
They were both nurses visiting a pensioner, there's a black Juke that comes occasionally and parks exactly where the Clio is, but facing the other way

"Why are you taking a photo???""Because that's really bad parking and I want to send it to the local police."
(See here for why - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... - or maybe not if you value your spare time / life

Saw a classic last night.
You have the cycle lane marked: https://goo.gl/maps/S2Ss5GHeLj82
Someone had parked so that they were not blocking the cycle lane; essentially they were blocking half the road.

What is it with nurses visiting pensioners? There is a pensioner near me who has home care with numerous nurses and they always park on the pavement despite the road being wide enough, and they always sit in the car playing with their phones with their headlights on facing oncoming traffic while waiting for their shift to start. The Clio is parked past the start of the bend, so the N/S rear wheel is about a foot from the kerb. Ah, but you are wrong of course!Because that, my friend, is an Audi. And because "the car park is not full, so it's absolutely fine to park like a twunt".
So many morons on here will defend chod-gobblers like this, not realising that empty car parks have a habit of filling up fairly swiftly at certain points during the day. Just park properly, the feckin' lot of you. You are NOT special. It's an Audi, FFS! A VERY common, VERY ordinary car in this age of finance and leasing. Because if supercars and 'special needs' German saloons can do it, then it's only right that the rest of us join in the 'take up too much space' game, and suddenly we're left with half the number of spaces that were painted.
There's no feckin' excuse for it, neither. If you hold a driving license, it follows that you have been taught how to park. So either you have genuinely forgotten how to do it properly, in which case hand your license in and get the bus, or you wilfully and deliberately park like that, in which case you and your car deserve anything and everything that happens to it if someone who cannot now park because of your selfishness then decides to polish it with a bunch of keys, or aims a swift kick at it.
Oh and FIVE the other day. Five! https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.2763852,-0.73768...
You will see in the image linked above that there is a one-way street, but it has a 'contra flow' cycle lane marked on it which allows cyclists to run opposite to the flow of vehicular traffic. Sadly, there are no parked cars in the image to illustrate the point, but rest assured that residents (and commuters from a nearby station, I believe) park all along the left hand side, tight up to the cycle lane. Which is great, as it separates cyclists going the "wrong" way from moving vehicles. But morons get it wrong, and regularly park in the cycle lane. Well, I can't ride on the footway. I'd get a fine. And I can't ride in the main carriageway, it'd be suicidal. So I'm forced to continue in the marked cycle lane, and regularly find that my right elbow sticks out a little, and 'taps back' the door mirrors of overly wide, or badly parked cars. Ah, well. Such is life...
They are currently building a cycling "super highway" in Leeds (a path essentially) and a local campaign group have been out testing sections of it and filming themselves.

Hard to tell in this photo, but another busy Sunday at Shorpe pods leisure centre led to the usual (and previously shown) car abandoning everywhere but this one was special.
Having found one space at the end, the shown Astra had parked a LONG way over (there was a massive space to its left) - running late for my son's football, I reversed in carefully and properly and squeezed myself out (having left a proper space to get my son out on the other side), taking this precautionary photo, you know, just in case.
There was no damage to my car - I was pleasantly surprised.

fk. Well, I can see the logic of the driver. "Double yellow lines. No parky. Kerb without lines. Can parky!"https://www.facebook.com/LeedsCyclingCampaign/vide...

Had similar on Friday. Was so tempted to leave a "You're a !" message on their windscreen. Fortunately, someone just pulled out of a decent space as I was reversing into the tight space. Also, there was no way in hell they would get in their car as the woman (it was a woman, let's face it) had driven in forwards like the bell who you parked next to.Having found one space at the end, the shown Astra had parked a LONG way over (there was a massive space to its left) - running late for my son's football, I reversed in carefully and properly and squeezed myself out (having left a proper space to get my son out on the other side), taking this precautionary photo, you know, just in case.

My only issue with your car is that it's a nice car so I wouldn't want to risk it.
