A friend got charged for overlapping 2 parking spaces a couple of years ago with his camper van. So now he always buys 2 tickets and sticks both in the windscreen and has never had a problem since!
Don't know whether I'd try it!

It's not immediately obvious, but this is part of a turning area for school buses, which can't get round in one go because red-Polo-person parks there every day.

I expect the idiot 'thinks' that the "keep clear" but refers to the turning circle (ie it's not a car park) but as there are no double yellows it's fine to park along the edges...

A. I am wondering the legalities of this, and

B. Why hasn't this idiots parking been addressed if it's a problem.

Then again some drivers have absolutely no idea what KEEP CLEAR means. A major route in Aberdeen passes a roundabout, this is the A90, one exit has peds lights immediately off the roundabout, so for obvious reasons a bit of the roundabout says KEEP CLEAR so when the ped lights go red, traffic SHOULD keep the area clear to allow vehicles from the left to cross over the roundabout and carry on north on the A90 dual carriageway.

You can guess the rest, twunts.

I might add every HGV coming from south of Aberdeen and going north, has to cross this roundabout. And the bloody cars just stop in front of their entrance to the roundabout. The exit the cars are heading cannot be used by HGV's so every one knows full well they won't (God forbid) loose a slot on the roads.

What if they had been the last two spaces in the car park?
Park behind it.
Sorry, I meant if they were the last two spaces in the car park, would he still park like that?

No, crap parking.
Looks crap, protects car. On end space doesn't inconvenience anyone?

Apart from possibly blocking access for an ambulance or fire engine. I like end spaces, but that car is well over the line.

There is protecting car from dings and there is parking like a t**t. A smidge over the line on an end space is maybe justifiable depending on the location, a full car doors width away from the next cars *passenger* door in an office car park is parking like a t**t.

100% agree. Just because you think 'your car' needs special care, does not mean you are justified in being selfish.

I use a long stay multistory most days, was getting my stuff out of the car this morning and heard a car pulling into a space.

The crunching noise as the front bumper pressed into the concrete of the car park drew my attention mainly. The guy then gets out, appeared unphased, locked the car and walked off.

"Play it cool Trig, play it cool!" haha

One of the many reasons I wouldn't leave a better can than my 10 year old Saab in a car park for any length of time!

Retard combo, one parked across a dropped curb and about 1 foot away from the curb - Prius dumped halfway up pavement. Some bays are half on half off, but that's not a bay.

Wouldn't have bothered posting these, but he was in front of me at the traffic lights, slowed down, stopped, put his hazards on and then moved away from the bus stop a little to stop on a corner/junction & zig-zags.

I couldn't turn in because he'd blocked the junction and had to wait for other cars to clear the junction (which was made more difficult by needing to edge out past him/me to see if the way way clear.

Was still there 10 minutes later after I'd parked and walked back up the road to the office.

If he rotated the van 90 degrees, he could have won 3 points instead of 2!

If he had put it half on the pavement as well as blocking in the Golf he could of had a 10/10
