This guy had to make his own space in a fairly empty car park. Apologies for the crap pic.

Last spots in the car park were occupied by this guy.

Takeaway delivery driver? They seem to have a different set of standards to even the worst of the Germanic car fans.

Don't be fooled by the position of the car at the red light, it's not waiting for the green, it's stopped (hazards on) waiting for a fare.

Our villages tend to have narrow roads and very few pavements.
Strictly, this isn't a pavement; it's a series of private laybys so the vehicle isn't parked illegally.
On the other hand, it's one of the few stretches where you can walk without worrying about traffic for a while. Also, his drive is empty so why not use it?

Spotted down my road this week in the evening (when parking restrictions are no longer valid). Over 50 metres of clear parking space were behind this car and where I was standing. They chose to park opposite the van and take up the entire pavement to compensate.

Another "entitled" Audi driver who thinks his S3 is a motorbike as it's parked in the bike only area. Did think about going home and getting my bike and parking behind him.

That number plate tells you all you need to know!

Bank holiday Monday at Xscape in Milton Keynes. The place is heaving, lots of people going round and round trying to find a space. Then this knob cheese goes and takes up two spaces. furiousfuriousfurious If I didn't have my daughter with me, I would've squeezed my XC70 next to it but I needed to be able to access her car seat.
Mk has a action group going around mk city taking photos of badly parked cars and reporting them to the authorities.

Thousands of posts and barely a mention of unrealistically small parking spaces or the assholes who let their children slam doors into your brand new car.

Average cars are far wider than they used to be but parking spaces remain the same.
I'm not saying I agree with people who take 2 spaces, but surely you can see why they do it? At the supermarket I park (in a single space) as far away from the door as possible so nobody parks next to me.

My last car was just a cheap dog-mobile so I squeezed in anywhere. After owning it for 4 years there were so many door-dents in it that it looked like it was "ribbed for her pleasure". I was even sat in it once when a lady parked next to me, looked right at me, and then slammed her door into my car! She knew I was there and didn't even say sorry! She wasn't disabled (physically) so had no excuse.

I especially don't understand why there are photos on this thread of half-empty car parks with a car taking up two spaces... Why do you care when there are so many other spaces free?

Because drivers who take up two spaces will do so even when they are the last two spaces available.

They should go out and get a job, then see if they have time for that sort of nonsense.

I will happily admit to taking up more than one space in an empty supermarket car park. Doesn't hurt anyone, there's loads of space and it's not as though hordes of people could turn up at any moment (for reference I'm talking 10pm when it really is dead). However I park in a multi-storey every day for work that gets completely rammed, and so take care in making sure I'm parked properly.

Not sure if this qualifies as bad parking or just annoying parking. Mines the silver BMW and we parked on our own to find this when we came returned;

However, when we arrived the rest of the car park looked like this, as it did when we left. Quite why, with a huge empty space they have to park 2' away form me I have no idea - it's not even by the pathway/exit of the car park;

Some drivers seem to be unable to park unless its directly next to another car. If they enter an empty carpark, they have to leave and return later in order to be able to line up next to another car.

Parking spaces are definitely too small now so I can kind of see why people do this, though I wouldn't do it myself. I've also had my door dented by unrestrained children and idiots. What is the solution? Let your car get dented by apes or park like a tt?

Perhaps we should all park across 2 spaces. Councils would lose revenue, supermarkets would lose customers. They may then realise they need to increase the size of spaces to accommodate the cars of today.

I was sat waiting for the wife in a carpark a couple of days ago, the row opposite me with about 10 spaces had only 2 cars in it with a space between the two. Woman comes in and takes three goes at getting her Corsa in the space between the two cars, seven other spaces to choose from, WTF!

A private layby with No Parking signs...might be for non house occupants though.
