The BAD PARKING thread [vol3]
Discussion
Just back from a couple of weeks in Italy. Of course it is more unusual to see GOOD parking there than bad, but these two made me laugh.
Err? How do I get in there?
This Punto takes the biscuit parked outside a supermarket entrance. It must have been there at least half an hour blocking the way. 75% of the car-park was empty.

Serious question, what if you're colourblind?
Should not be driving. Traffic lights? Double yellow lines? Finding your car?Assume trolling?!

Tesla with all the gizmos, it will drive itself, tells you when it spots a parking slot, and will self park.
Pity all this hi tech can't figure where the end of the bay ends............ A few badly parked cars like this in South London, where on street parking is a premium results in one less parking slot. Local council even repainted the lines so you can't say you didn't see them.
Strangely enough I have seen three of these Teslas in the last two days.
The funny thing is people rely too much on tech and with this auto-park assistance the forget to look IF they are allowed to park. Well, they will get fined...Pity all this hi tech can't figure where the end of the bay ends............ Purely based on the assumption that these cars are owned by the same person or friend / partner etc this would surely be good parking? Opposed to taking up 2 spaces in an otherwise crowded car park they've planned ahead and only taken up one allocated space? Possibly flats with only 1 allocated space per residence?Joe5y said:

'V' probably for visitor. So I'd agree, if they are both visiting the same person or know each other it keeps the other visitor bay free. mgtony said:

It was the parking on the grass that made me decide it was "bad" but I have to admit I did think it was quite a nice way of parking two small cars. They aren't cars I recognise so presume they were visitors, there were 3 other empty "V" spaces at the time though.
Makes a change from visitors to the apartments across parking outside my house though so I shouldn't grumble

Hmm, where's the worst possible place I could park? Of course, where the road narrows and there's an electric car charging opposite!
Had a look on google maps, didn't appreciate from you picture what a bloody idiot they were parking there, imagine a fire tender trying to negotiate that corner. How can some people be some dumb. If you must park on double yellows, why not, park behind the other car, then again that's sensible.

Bournemouth 31st August. No one in it, it really is parked like that! Not only that but also a loading bay, but not a truck and not loading:
I live in Bournemouth and regularly deliver to that pub, loading bay is always full of cars, I just double park, sometimes get the car owners come back as in unloading, " I'll only be a few mins" as I take my time and watch them getting angry as they can't get out of "their" space.mattuk89 said:

Always reverse in and keep it as close to perpendicular to the kerb as you can, without the nose sticking out into the traffic.

Not quite as bad as it seems - the Juke is parked on the road someway back from the junction - you can see the bend in your Google maps picture in the original picture, just, further up the road and to the right of the Juke and to the left of the edge of the hedge. Don't think they're parked on doubles, either. How can some people be some dumb. If you must park on double yellows, why not, park behind the other car, then again that's sensible.
Not great parking, but far from the worst we've seen on here.
