Interesting comparison, the premium for a CSL over a standard M3 is about 200%, the increase of an Mugen RR over a standard FD2 R is about 130%

Whenever someone posts something like 'chav wagon', or 'could have a Porsche' about Type R Hondas they clearly have never driven one, or if they have havent lived with one long enough.
Just a point as well, check the BHP per litre of many Type R variants and the S2000 compared to their contemparies. I think this highlights what special cars/engines they are, nothing else but exotics come close.

The RR is one of the best FWD cars ever made, with a sublime engine, world-class reliability and extreme rarity.

But ~£35k for a second-hand everyday Honda is rather toppy. As is ~£50k for an overhyped BMW CSL.

Conclusion: the UK car market is getting into "silly money" territory and is approaching a peak in the up-cycle...

Nice car but an awful lot of money. Nice job to find the person who wanted the car. I can't see the point of the seller complaining to PH about the use of the photographs though - what is that all about?

There is some nonsense on here....

All cars are expensive, sports cars even more so. A Clio 200 is still about £12k used, for a CLIO! BUT, the point I am making is that you pay for the engineering that has gone into making it fast. The RR happens to be rare also, which in turn knocks up the price.

Look at the E30 M3 (note, I am not directly comparing this to the RR just using it as an example) a used one could be had for cira £15K a few years ago, I have seen some recently for £40K on here. Madness. That's not to say it's not worth it to a guy/girl with the money looking to buy one. Just appreciate it for what it is. I bet it would be great fun to drive.
