Is that Bob Holness's ?
Bought with the royalties from his saxophone playing on Baker Street?
You'll have to explain that one to me
Stuart Maconie the DJ and writer started a rumor many, many years ago that Bob Holness was the sax player on Jerry Rafferty's song Baker Street.

This is the book you need...

I don't think that looks too bad to be honest. The wheels suit the colour.

Bob was the first person to play James Bond.

Honestly. !!!
Played him in a Radio series back in the 1940s or 50s didn't he?

I met him a couple of times. He bought chips a couple of times from a Fish & Chip shop I worked in as a kid.

I love the looks of the S-type, my favorite jag ever probably (off to the classified!)

And honestly, wouldnt call a weird looking set of rimms badly modified.. its a 15 minute job to swap em for something proper.

Fetch me an anti tank rifle so I can put the poor thing out of its misery.
Think it might have been an M3 once as I seem to remember the colour was exclusive to that model.
It appears to be phoenix yellow.. So could quite possibly be an m3 frown

Poor old motor

That belongs to a friend of a friend, the attention to detail on the restoration is great (it was a wreck to start with) but that front end just ruins the whole thing for me. I suspect it scores huge "scene points" though, for me I'd rather go around corners.
How wrong is it to like it? getmecoat
Well, I mean I'd like it if the wheels were attached properly.

only things i dont like about it are the front wheels, how low the exhaust sits and his trainers.

It is, or was, almost definitely an M3. Bonnet and mirrors are bespoke, as are the headlights I think.

Remember that yellow M3 (yes, it's a genuine M3) on the last page? Here's how it looks now.

Are those arches made from cardboard? smile
Looks like the arches are there to cover up some kind of horrible mess
I actually don't mind rivet on arches on some cars.. and then someone comes along and ruins it for everyone.

This is why we can't have nice things.
Well thats an M3 ruined at considerable expense. There isn't an arch big enough to cover that mess.
