the more you click on the photos the worst it gets. that interior is absolutely horrible. were they trying to make the front a 3 seater and move the steering wheel into the middle??

The Merc is a case of "great execution, terrible idea".

Like a slightly less extreme version of this:

Ick.
Looks like it's got rickets.

Quote from ebay:-
"It's had an auto gearbox fitted........the problem is in the gearbox, a synchro has worn so it will only select reverse not drive."
Yeah, right.

It's like a 10 year old planned and conducted the 'mods'.

The steering wheel definitely looks more central.

The S2K isn't standard. It's not on the same level of as the 220, but there are plenty of performance / track oriented mods if you read the ad. Despite what you might think, that aero is functional and will make some positive difference. As I say, it's not setup to be perfect, but it will definitely do something. Do some research and you will find plenty of examples of people using cheap, stock BGWs etc and seeing benefits.

I'm not saying we should all marvel at that S2K, but from a purely aesthetic PoV, it's not a bad job of replicating the look of a track car and it's unfair to group it with some of the abominations in this thread.

FYI, it does have a CF boot lid / bonnet and bolt-on arches are a common wide-body style (see LW, RB, SD, RWB).
It looks crap, and I used to own an S2000 with loads of CF, and a BGW.

Advert says:

The Triumph rear axle obviously does not permit clutch dumping, wheelspinning and rough treatment but this car can still be driven fast by a mechanically sympathetic driver

...so the addition of a V8 and all the time / money - spent is a total waste of time, and now it looks tatt from the front too.

Looks like that's in km? So around 105mph? That seems a rather unremarkable speed to boast about wobble

What a crock! The ad states all the periphery shown (including extra lights etc) is a photoshop job, as-is it's just got a big hole chopped for the air filter...

I took it as meaning that only the one without the extra lights was a Photoshop....
"The picture without the extra front lights is a Photoimpression of how it would look with some mods to the bonnet." ie cleaned up a little and with a scoop over the hole for the air-cleaner. I think the "Clubman" styling is needed to clear the bigger rad he's fitted.

he'd have been better off cutting into the firewall and moving the engine and rad back as far as he could without removing all the foot space (in my vast experience of V8 swaps/hotrods/chassis design...)
