Badly modified cars thread Mk2

Don't think this is true anymore really. I get invited to a load of shows and stuff that I thought were like that with my daft shonky track car. I do have BBS splits though!

The "scene" or whatever is a lot more inclusive than I think it used to be
I also frequent a great many shows throughout the year, have done for a decade - the Meguiars event goes some way to illustrating my point as it is a largely invite-only job, i.e. not everyone who attends will be able to display their car - and many of the larger shows work on the basis of applying to be considered for inclusion; mostly by following specific criteria and / or knowing the organisers. http://www.speedhunters.com/2017/07/good-vibes-onl...

I prefer modified car shows and always have done, but in practice I've started attending more 'old boy' meets, on the basis that there is genuine enthusiasm, credible knowledge and a refreshing lack of 'air-ride + splits + outrageous = me being individual + built not bought + whatever is fashionable at the moment'*
- not that I have anything against any one or combination of those components, having part-taken myself not long ago!

The VAG scene is effectively a cess-pit of name-brand splits / dish, air ride and cronyism. Being different would be making something that's actually useable + fast!
You're clearly looking for these "scene" cars. Open your eyes an you will find many many VWs and other Vag cars that have been built with lightweight wheels, sticky rubber, adjustable suspension and pack some serious power but you'd have to know a bit about these things.
Nevermind though, just keep finding cars with negative camber an wide wheels to take the mick out of if you find it easier & entertaining.

Really wasn't sure where this belonged, where to start, or what was the worst bit-
Cr*ppy plate, check
Incorrect and badly used badges, check
Driven like a tard, check
I asked this question a few years back. I'd never heard of the model either. Cr*ppy plate, check
Incorrect and badly used badges, check
Driven like a tard, check
Interesting that in both our cases driver was a knobber. Cause or Effect?

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who didn't know it was a genuine spec, to my eyes it just looks like a wannabe with a load of random badges, still in my eyes most, not all mind but most, BMW/Audi/Merc drivers are pitiful knuckle dragging knobs who think that every road is THEIR racetrack and anybody who dares get in their way deserves to be bullied our of the way, the majority haven't figured out where the indicators are or how to use them and park like the rules most certainly do NOT apply to them!!!!

Yep, I think that needs to go in the "I have a chip on my shoulder" thread.
