Is a Maestro "Cooper S" a thing ?

Or some dealer only limited edition ?

The 2 battery thing is very odd too.

A maestro cooper S is rubbish.

It might be an an MG maestro 1600 which is the early less desirable one.

It might just be an ordinary Austin Maestro which have been totally ruined.

I have a soft spot for the 2 L Maestro Turbo but this isn’t one of them!

Words fail me.

Deserves a 10/10 for originality and also deserves a skip to be dropped on it from a great height! Lol.

Wtf is the point?

I struggle to understand supercar replicas. A TT replica? Seriously, why bother?!

I'm sure with some hunting about you could get a 180bhp TT that needs a couple of small jobs for 900 quid. And when the jobs are done you've got a proper TT at the end not a Metro with a lot of flex in the body

i'm guessing the replica owner probably started the project around the time the mk1 TT came out and was at full price. imagine if in 20yrs time you could buy an R8 for shed money? we'd all be posting R8 replicas on here and asking 'why bother when an R8 only costs ettc..'

This little monkey has been for sale forever.

I think it may have had its own PH thread.

And the award for the worlds most pointless engine swap goes to...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-fiesta-1-2-to-a-1-...

A Fiesta that’s gone from a 1.25 to a 1.4

it could be that the engine died and he replaced it with a 1.4. although it's more likely to be some 18yr old who bought a 1.25 because the insurance on on a 1.4 or 1.6 or ST was too much. then illogically decided they'd upgrade by doing an engine swap instead of asking on PH so we can all tell them not to bother and just build up NCB.

I've driven a 1.25 and 1.4 Fiesta back to back, unsurprisingly there was literally no difference in 'performance' between the two.

Unless perhaps the 1.25 had had a 1.4 conversion and I didn't know....

Or the 1.4 had had a 1.25 conversion.....

A quick google suggests a whopping 14bhp increase from 1.25 to 1.4!

He probably fked the engine and decided to put an equally cheap 1.4 in.

My 1.25 isn't fast ,struggles on hills but with 14 more BHP ,is the 1.4 really much better ?

Performance is adequate.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened. There is one of these near me that's been sat on a drive unfinished for at least a decade, possibly longer. I remember a mate buying a TT new and it was a big deal. Back then it was quite a desirable car.

i sometimes do wonder how old some of these people are and what their mental state is. I remember when i was a teenager (this is london) people saying things like 'sup bruv, safe yeh, seen, brap brap'. even around 15/16yrs old i thought it was silly, many people grew out of it before they hit their 20s. I use such terms ironically or for a bit of fun between close friends.. but i kind of find it sad when i hear people who are 20+ saying it.

the same applies to this. things like tacky modifications, putting your parts list on the side of the car.. you do that when you're just into cars.. and how buys a 5 series when they're just into cars? it makes me wonder how long the person has been on the car scene. Max power people have moved on.. has this guy?
