The new Alpine is utterly stunning.

Just build it. The detail doesn't matter. Just make sure it looks like that.
That's what Audi did with the mark 1 TT, then it started killing people with aero-influenced oversteer crashes.

It turns out that details do matter.
And despite killing people the TT sold like hot cakes.

So perhaps they don't?

I'm seeing six eyes (at least), or four eyes and two nostrils

Regardless of anything (I do like the Alpine) but I just can't help wobble seeing 2 eyes and a face.

That's it!
It's vying for a role in the next Pixar Disney 'Cars 3'. biggrin

I don't know why Alpine don't just buikd it on its own. I had a GTA V6 Turbo years ago, and then their A610, which was outstanding (and affordable).

I wonder if Renault have fears over the fact that the Alpine brand and indeed the Renault one are generally Western centric?

The future for all sports car brands seeking volume is Asia and as it is new money then brand is essential.

I don't think Renault signed with Caterham for their expertise or money but for Tony Hernandez' Asian connections and brand.

If someone came along who was a bigger and better brand partner then I can see the French firm engineering the split to replace Caterham. Or maybe, yet again, TH has proven to be a total dick to work with?

I do wonder about the timing re Red Bull building a new park to build cars, boats and planes although I suspect the timing is off.

Really odd that you single out the Alpine for that.
If you google literally any car with the words 'front view' it looks as much like a face as the Alpine does.

What a pretty little car!
Engine in the back makes it more fun (don't believe the naysayers, they've never driven the layout)
I've seen a few of these and they are really tiny, small and agile enough to properly enjoy even with a small engine.

Shame about the car following it.
