I owned a V8 Vantage 4.3 and it is still, by far, the best looking car I ever owned to my eyes. I also think that the early examples like others said are the best looking. It is also a great car to drive, very sporty and rewarding on the right roads. Not the best powertrain around, even some years ago but I regret having sold it.
This N430 should be just great, even if ready to spend that the list price I would be tempted by other cars, some 2nd hand.

A very good looking car, one of the best, but agree with the comment about the interiors. This struck me at the Aston Martin Sunday Service last year. That event provided a rare opportunity to hop from one AM to another. Not one interior appealed to me.

Plus 5 k to get rid of those god awefull alloys. ( assuming hre are about 5 k)

But it's where I'd put my money ( if I had any)

Love the n430 but I've just looked and the stupid extra colours are not an option frown look naff to me.

Absolutely.

It's getting on a little and maybe doesn't offer the most engaging drive in comparison to the new stuff from Porsche, Jag, AMG, etc.

But it's an Aston, and I doubt I'll ever be in the position to buy more than one £100k car in my lifetime - so the rather old-school, sustainable and relatively uncomplicated mechanical layout of a brutish V8 Aston appeals. Something to covet for years.

I'd definitely take the jag over this, however i think the earlier V8V's are an absolute bargain now, but then again an early V8V is the same price as a 5.0 Jag XKR which is probably the better car but doesn't have the want factor of the Aston

The Aston is a beautiful machine and it hasn't stopped looking beautiful in any of it's variations over the years, I was seduced by one personally and have never thought the interior was anything other than a really special place to sit and enjoy the noise these things make. You don't need to be driving like a tit either to enjoy the sound it's always accessible, the car is beautifully balanced and best of all everybody loves it, such positive reactions makes a pleasant change smile

Agree
But please, not in that colour.

Would have to agree with you Andy, my V8 may not be the quickest car in its sector but to me that isn't the be all and end all and I think the interior is a lovely place to be. When I was looking to change the Sagaris the 997 and the R8 were quicker drives but just didn't feel special when you weren't driving them hard, their interiors felt clinical rather than special. Don't get wrong they are both great cars but I wanted something a bit different for my weekend car and the Vantage manages that in spades

I think it's testimony to the quality of the F-Type that the decision between the two is so close.

V8V is very colour sensitive but with the manual stick will continue to tempt some buyers. However the progress made by Jag demonstrates how a replacement is needed.

Residuals will prove interesting, as the Aston factor could arguably protect a buyer more so than F-Types that are apparently flying out of the door.

I'll have both (F-Type 'vert)

Old news
the N430 is simply a rebadged Vantage S (released in 2011) with the manual gearbox that has been around since 2005!
Or is is an SP10 for a couple of years ago with the Vantage S N400 air boxes to get 430 BHP
Come on Aston stop pissing around with the parts bins to "create" new models frown

I would easily pick the Jag F Type over one of these. Take off both badges and then judge by the car itself...

Those alloys are actually forged and light, they look a lot better with a diamond cut face
The "lipstick" and other colour add ons are options you don't have to go for them
If you want total flexibility on options buy an S, here's mine in Cheddar Gorge
