Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 really soft/thin sidewalls?
Discussion
I've been running these Goodyear Eagles on my Octavia estate for almost 2 years and you can feel they are soft but they do grip! Quite hard wearing but I've found they respond better with a little extra air than the recommended pressures. Possibly that's down to the estate is a bit of a barge, probably better on something a lot smaller.
Not always great grip off the line when the roads are wet which kinda goes against the great grip once on the go - could just be my crap rev balancing against road conditions but they are not the all in one solution that they are sometimes heralded to be. Still more than happy with the overall performance and wear rate.

I run them at the moment but I'm looking for something with a stiffer sidewall. Any recommendations in 17'?
As people have said above, Michelin Pilot Sports are marginally stiffer whilst offering similar grip levels. I have Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyres on my 2011 Merc E350 Cabriolet. I based this decision on a lot of positive reviews. My car previously had Contisport 3s which had done 17K. They were ok but sometimes lost grip in the wet.
The reputation of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 and 3 is that they have good grip in the dry, and particularly good grip in the wet, the 3s being apparently better than the 2s.
I am quite pleased with the Goodyears as the grip does seem to have improved over the Contis.
However, the sidewalls DO seem much softer AND thinner than on the Continentals, despite the fact that my Goodyears are a 97 Load Rating and the Contis were 93, so the Goodyears must be a stronger stiffer sidewall...
