Last of current model rolls of line Autumn next year. Completely new model arrives around that time. bits to be a proper off roader, solid axles coil springs, wheel at each corner ,little
Overhang,but sadly the parts are made of low quality cheese a feeble engine and crap build quality.. Good enough if you want a 4x4 not so good if you need one!!! good job there are landcruisers , G waggons and patrols
Otherwise people in more remote and hostile areas of the world than Surrey would be stranded..

Been there and done that, for Land Rovers I use EBC yellow pads and don’t forget to bed them in properly very important).

it has huge Fox shocks and AP brakes. And it's made... well... next to no difference! It still doesn't go round corners or stop, but we'll keep working on it! The mods give it a lot of street cred; it gets a huge amount of attention.

So I have until next Autumn to save.I don't really get the point of the Twisted upgrades personally, but if I ever had the money to buy a Range Rover I would probably still opt for a Defender and look at spending the left over money on ridiculous upgrades, maybe even get a JE Zulu.

Despite it being, frankly, rubbish, they have so much character it is impossible for them to not get under your skin. Getting a Ford V8 swap soon... cannot wait for 400+ horses!

Brillant choice of car so much fun and so distinctive!
Why people are so negative about defenders I do not know, they are what they are, a great platform to do pretty much u want with as can be seen here with twisted or shove a crne on the back!

It's a 110. Nothing you do to them will make them any different. They are designed for fields, not roads. They ain't designed to corner well.
There will be some stupid comments in the coming road reports about comfort, speed, noise, motorway ability, and yes, cornering ability, or lack thereof. But no matter how crude a Mini Van may have seemed, a defender will reach heights of discomfort hitherto unimagined!
Used them when I was a Cop in the 70's/80's, in fact they were requisite driving before we passed our 3 week driving course, and driving them well was a challenge. Engage the diff brake inappropriately any you would sit at the lights, red faced, gently oscillating, your instructor sniggering madly.
We couldn't chase a bicycle on the road, but herd anything off road (a favourite route for really clever car thieves.....ahem) and the game was a bogey. Even more fun when they abandoned the car and legged it.

Indeed. Mine has had pretty much every upgrade possible by some pretty pricey service providers and is still, objectively, utterly rubbish. Slow (despite engine, brake, suspension, steering and noiseproofing upgrades - still terrifying at 90mph). Thirsty. Probably quite unsafe.I am completely in love with it.

I drove one of these from GB to the southern most part of Estonia with a Gemini boat on the roof, took it to Sweeden in the middle of winter temps down to -20. Also took it on a Hercules to the Middle East and drove about in the sand in 50 degrees of heat, it was then left on the airstrip for 9 months, got it back to the section and started straight away! Never did it skip a beat nor shy from its duties, Im sure it was about 15 years old as well! Cracking bit of kit!
Please don't stick a 'one life live it' sticker on it, whenever I see those sad stickers always makes me think of the two off road geeks on the fast show failing miserably at off road!
