Had a turbo (bodied) 911 (pre 964) aged 19... ok only bought for £8k but that was their value in the 2000s... it gets no better all things considered..... sadly its probably worth £25k now frown

You can't hear or feel your engine at tickover.

So not a diesel :-)

I bought my first Mercedes when I was 27, it was a battered W123 300D and pretty fecked to be honest but I loved that three pointed star up front.

When you stop reading internet forums.

I mostly spend time on here because the other things I would rather be doing cost too much money.

When your headliner is custom made to reflect your favourite constellations and the rear doesn't have electric blinds it has electric curtains...

I'd say I've made it when I have more cars that I can remember so walking around my garage i'd want to say "hey when did I buy 1 of those!"

Great, you too can make it for under 10 grand... try the 208, ALL my passengers have wondered where the engine noise or a rumble of any kind is at tickover. No, there isn't any stop-start. jester

Due to the popularity of leasing today it's impossible to know if someone has made it or, like our own Harris, can cover the monthly payment wink. Back in the 80's things were different though. There was only one option on the list that mattered.

2 wing mirrors.

(All said very much tongue in cheek especially because I own neither of our, 2 wing mirrored, cars.)
