New car - Must do list?
Discussion
Good evening all,
Having just placed my deposit down on a new motor I'm wondering what would be people's must do's on and with the car?
The vehicle in question is a 60 plate Megane RS 250 in Black on 19's, full leather recaros, RS Monitor, Xenons, the works.
It's only done 24k with one owner (bought privately) and is in good condition.
Of course, I want to make it my own,
What would people suggest as must do's, what would you do/have you done to a new car? I don't know where to start!

1. Check tyre pressures at the next petrol station after you pick up your car.
2. Full tank the car with Shell V-Power Nitro+
2. If the alloys are not big enough (doesn't apply to you) / don't look that nice.... find a new set.
3. Upgrade the existing tyres.
4. Fill the tyres with nitrogen.
5. Hunter wheel alignment.
6. Upgrade the brakes/brake lines/brake fluid (braided hoses/Motul RBF600)
7. Bigger/better discs/pads.
8. Thoroughly check that all servicing is up to date (& check for Air-Con gas/brake fluid etc).
9. Then fully test the car & its limits & enjoy it!!
10. Fit LED lights (indicators/brake lights/side lights etc)... This does not mean fit a HID kit (they suck and are somewhat illegal)... Anyway you have Xenons =)
11. Buy front & rear dash-cams to protect your new car
12. Plan unnecessary journeys such as buying milk from a farmer in Wales when you live in London.
13. Get it detailed.
14. Upgrade your sound-system/speakers/amplifier for better clarity.
15. Start researching what winter tyres to buy/fit.
The above is not an exhaustive list but that's generally what I would do/have done in the past.

I usually give it a good clean (which is usually when the rose tinted glasses come off)
Goes to a specialist for a once over
Make a to do list of bits needed (there is ALWAYS stuff needed)
Do the necessary bits, if any
Do the cheap bits if any, wheel centre caps, missing jack, bonnet roundel etc
Geometry & service
Then the bigger bits £100+ when you have the cash

It will be insured fully comprehensive of course.
V-Power all the way, I'm going to put a fair few miles on it these next few months.
The car does have a bit of a chip on one of the alloys that could do with a possible refurb so that could be up there.
I've read around the interweb about cleaning drainage channels and oiling rubbers but i'm not sure what these mean?
