RE: Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II: Review
Discussion
You all need to sit in one before making judgements... I sat in the Series I (the old one to us common folk!) and it was such a lovely place to sit in and the powertrain was just slightly epic (effortless).
I'd have this as the family hauler if money was no object, although as someone else stated the S63/65 are soo good now... Makes it a very difficult decision. Mulsanne is just butt *@£& ugly...

A Rolls Royce is supposed to be in-yer-face to a degree....what do you think that radiator grill is there for?
Big Jag saloons are(well...were)for understated elegance - a Rolls has always been more of a statement than that.
BTW, did I mention the Mulsanne is ugly? As Frankie Boyle would say "as ugly as Alan Sugar's cum face".

There's an old motor trade adage which applies to the PH perception of this brand; namely that you can't choose who you sell your cars to..
Time was when only M'Lud up at the Downton Abbey end of the property market could afford to own and run a Rolls-Royce. And supply the chauffeur with a tied-estate cottage to live in, and all that. The rest of us proletariat were still walking...
Then, the vulgar folks who were in trade (think property developers & shopkeepers) started buying them, to show-off how well they were doing. Next up was the showbiz crowd...........and here we now are.
Then again, I'm sure every Audi salesperson truly believes that they only sell their products to nice upstanding middle-class architects and the like. Which is dis-consonant with the current street-perception that Audi drivers are now the most aggressive of the lot, seemingly.
Would I have one? if the Eurolottery numbers came up, then why not? Do I lust after one? No. None of the folk round my way with old money (that I think have old money, anyway) don't drive anything more exotic than a VW Golf. That the R-R growth markets are in the likes of Russia and the MEA region tells you who buys them now...so, I conclude that's who the modern ones are designed for...

I like it, but id more like a BRG Bentley Turbo R of some sort, looks a bit old school but still fast! If I were to have a german, it would have to be a black S600 without all the tacky AMG bits on it... no badges either just black and standard rims.
They least desirable car is they Maybach... god thats tasteless
